Missing cards after update

The game removed cards from my collection after the update.
The game went after legendaries, above all. Some Epics, and a few of the others.

First off, I am missing ALL my “Caverns of Time” cards. They’re all gone. I have ZERO. THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE. Many of those cards were core. It is not even possible for a longtime player such as myself to not have them.

My Reno Jackson is the only card missing from League of Explorers. Which is also pretty much impossible by the way.

From Fractured in Alterac Valley, I’m missing Raid Boss Onyxia.

From from March of the Lich King, I’m missing Anachronos and Eadric the Pure.

From Castle Nathria, I’m missing Murloc Holmes and Theotar, the Mad Duke.

Missing from Legacy: Shadowed Spirit, Obliterate (only had 1 copy), Graveyard Shift, Ymirjar Deathbringer, Possessifier, Patchwerk, Aegwynn the Guardian, Emerald Skytalon, Elite Tauren Chieftain, Geibin Mekkatorque, Alexstrasza the Life-Binder and Yera the Dreamer.

From the Old Gods, I’m missing Princess Huhuran, Anomalus, Xaril Poisoned Mind, Malkorok, Shifter Zerus, Nat, the Darkfisher, Muckla Tyrant of the Vale and Soggoth the Slitherer. Plus 1 copy of Hammer of Twilight and 2 of Renounce Darkness.

From Witchwood, I’m missing Chameleos, Tess Greymane, Sudderwock, Hagatha the Witch, and Darius Crowley,

From Goblins and Gnomes I’m missing all the legendaries and epic cards. Plus Vitaly Totem, for some reason.

From Boomsday, I’m missing Dr.Boom Mad Genius and Subject 9.

From Dragons, I’m missing Murozond the Infinite.

From Darkmoon, I’m missing Yogg-Saron, Master of Fate.

From Stormwind, I’m missing The Rat King, Darkbishop Benedictus, Edwin Defias Kingpin, Goliath Sneed’s Masterpiece.

Then I see I’m missing almost all my Legendary and Epic cards from “The Grand Tournament” and “Whispers of the Old Gods”. For some reason, the game didn’t take the first few legendaries I got from those sets. Took everything else, every Legendary and one of the Epic cards. I worked a long time to have them all. Now, they’re just gone.

Some of my Legendary cards and Epic from Gadgetzan are also gone. I didn’t have these legendaries from that set (not sure at least): Inkmaster Solia and Hobard Grapplehammer. Also I’m not sure I had these Epic (so these are not included): Lunar Visions and Finders Keepers.

I’m not asking for any card I had any doubts having them for sure.
All the ones I mentioned, I’m absolutely sure I had them.

I honestly feel sick to my core while I had to go through the entire collection for hours and sadly having to confirm which cards were taken from me. A lot of sighing, anxiety and sadness went into it. I still can’t believe I got all those cards removed. Feels like the game stole from me, just because. For no reason. I’ve never had anything like this happen in any game. To me, this is just plainly absurd.

Ok so obvious questions first :
Did you log on the correct account ?
Did you log on the correct server ?
Have you lent your account to someone ?
Did you let your computer (assuming you play on pc) unsupervised while somebody could have messed up with your game ? Like a sibling

You are mixing a lot of things that are unrelated.
Caverns of time cards were never core set cards.
There may be different versions of a card, with one in core and one in CoT, but that does not mean that CoT cards where core cards. These are not the same items.
CoT cards comes specifically from CoT packs, or from packs of expansions that share cards with CoT.
You would have needed to open said packs after the release of CoT to receive CoT cards. Being a long time player doesn’t provide anything more.

The game did not steal from you.

Those cards were on LOAN to you, as part of the Core set.

Do you know what the Core set is? It’s a bunch of cards that Blizzard loans to everyone temporarily for a year (or two or three), primarily as an aid to new players so they can have cool cards to play with without having to spend money.

Most Core cards are “reprints” of cards from earlier expansions (like Darkbishop Benedictus), but some cards are also created specifically for Core and were never part of any expansion (like Alexstrasza Life-Binder).

Each Spring when the Standard year changes, Blizzard rotates the Core set, adding some new cards and removing some older ones. This happened two weeks ago.

Have you even read their message or did you stop at the title ?
Apart from the legacy set, (almost, haven’t checked all) none of the cards they mentionned was a core card.

On second thought I wonder if OP isn’t just an april fool joke :thinking:
Or maybe somone trying to get cards for free, and ready to say it was an april fool joke if ever called out :thinking: :thinking:

I saw Darkbishop Benedictus that definitely was core, and frankly I stopped reading after that.

Tess is a current 2024 Core card, so it’s literally impossible that she would be missing…
