Meta is boring, toxic, brain dead, linear to build and play

Here is a list of ultra-boring , toxic , brain dead meta decks that are linear to build and to play that are making Hearthstone toxic and boring. Listed in no particular order.

  1. Aggro Naga DH
  2. Mech Mage
  3. Naga Mage
  4. Mech Paly
  5. Pirate Warrior
  6. Quest Hunter
  7. Ramp Druid in it’s current state with Guff going to infinite mana.

These kinds of decks are toxic, because they require 0 brains to build and to play, and they are highly oppressive to diverse deck building, because they are much better than a random deck of strong cards.

Blizzard has painted themselves into a corner and they’ll need to delete ~ 50 cards from the current set to get it back on track.

its truly sad that after being a huge fan of HS, I’m looking for new CCG variants. Blizzard, I need a strategy game, not this abomination.

I’m completely OK with quests and synergies, but they need to extend to about 10 cards at a time, for example like the watch posts + Kargal battle scar or like the Soul Fragments + Soulciologist Malicia.

What we have now is 20+ card synergies. It’s ridiculous.

if you find those boring dont play them

focus on what you like to play

I’m not playing them, but that means playing control warrior if you don’t like losing every game. The problem is that these decks are really good, and are brain dead to pilot because of 20+ card synergies.

The synergies need to be limited to ~ 10 cards like the examples I’ve given , “watch posts + Kargal battle scar or like the Soul Fragments + Soulciologist Malicia.”
Otherwise synergy decks become toxic.

Control warrior and Druid are toxic as well, due to Kaz being the win condition, rather than the plain old out-valuing your opponent.

You can’t out value your opponent any more, that model of play doesn’t exist today.

I’m not a fan of the meta to be honest, but you can’t please everyone all the time.

You forgot Polarizing and Cancer in your list of buzz words.

do you know a other and good card game?

It’s not synergy. It’s expansion cards being so hyper specific it feels like that certain decks ignore all the interesting new expansion cards in favor of vanilla cards that serve as replacements to pieces of a very parasitic build-around package.

No, it is indeed those hyper specific cards that are creating the problem. E.g. mech mage , pirate warrior - if you take out mech or pirates , it becomes worse.

Good thing I’m playing priest

you have 7 decks to choose from much better then only 2. Adapt to some, nerf others.

Mage naga needs nerf to 1 crystal, DtDD needs nerf to 3/3/3 HP costs 1, mech paladin just use starfish, pirate warrior got nerfed. Ramp druid gets crushed by others.

There needs to be a wide variety of decks, not 7 decks. The 7 decks mentioned here will eat most creative decks alive, because of the synergies. And that’s unhealthy for the game.

7 decks is better then 2!

That is very narrow focus thinking. You can’t keep Hearthstone community interested with 2 or 7 decks. You need ~30 decks and lots of off-meta stuff for fun. That’s just not the reality anymore.

maybe you don’t know how to build a good game deck.

Naga Mage is one of the most skill heavy decks in the history of the whole game , no idea what you are talking about.

You know what the average definition of braindead is for most players don’t you?

Everything they aren’t playing.

And they Go even harder on decks that actually take skill because they can’t win with they since they’re BAD.

Must be very hard to follow the “alternate naga/spell” pattern.

Okay, so what in your opinion is a non-toxic, skill testing deck from Hearthstone.

Wardrum, I’m going to predict Smulpaj’s answer. Smulpaj, if you look that’s cheating.
