Shek’zara and Ivus as the first bosses of each rush respectively. The first one is infamous for massive damage even through something like Celestial Protection, and the latter is the reason why I started using the ‘Artillery Strike’ trick in the first place. Has anyone found any ‘clever’ approaches to these ones if your mercs are not ‘overlevelled’? I’ve still got about 100k renown stashed, but the Mercs I play in mythic have abilities, equipment and treasures upgraded mostly to ‘basic’ levels 10-15, some of them higher, especially those I use a lot (say, up to twenty or so) or that require higher levels to be effective (Brann’s ‘Trusty Whip’, for instance), and a few select treasures quite high (‘Artillery Strike’ to 50, ‘Celestial Protection’ and ‘Teamwork is Dream Work’ somewhere above 40) — that’s the budget. The parties I play involve mostly Fire (previosuly also Frost), Celestials or even Explorers (a slower, but occasionally fun alternative), Artillery strike, rooting strategies and some situational mercs, some of them upgraded.
PS I’m not averse to puzzles and such, which Mythic can occasinally provide, but spending a few hours testing a badly-designed boss (in fact, I’m not sure someone even designs these at all — there might be a crude algorithm assigning random bosses, applying some badly-implemented scaling and random ‘anomalies’; if you think of mythic Ahune, that’d be a prime example of such sloppy ‘design’ — just dumb and tedious, unless you can pull off some tricks with Malchezaar conveniently) is just not my cup of tea. The controversial Old Guardian’s channel doesn’t have solutions for these yet, either.
