Mercenaries Double Damage Question

What is the best class to attack for Caster, Fighters, and Protectors to get double damage with… Anyone help me please

Caster dicks down prot, prot fighters, fighters casters

Generally imo, comps are more important than types, but lots of people like either going 1 of each, such as a Cariel + Xyrella + Samuro comp. or using some of the strongest units.

In general, most of the strongest aoers for pve tend to be casters in pvp, many seemed to be fighters with the diablo comp previously, but i think the new unit broke pvp with speed and it was just unsustainable and ungrindable to keep up.

Honestly i’d just stick with the xyrella/Millhouse + Samuro comp if f2p, maybe add king krush for pve farming.

For felwood farming, there are two easy choices for 1 turn kills.

MVK (Millhouse Varden Krush. 42 damage first turn aoe, fast animations ,very f2p and works well on f2p coins. (You only need aoe for millhouse, varden, and Krush’s +attack maxed, which can easily be done halfway into tasks alone)

And fire comp (epics, but very powerful)

If you want, nature comps and holy comps can output powerful healing and recovery for higher difficulties, and Anduin and krush both come from felwood bounties so f2p obtaining them is pretty doable. (Though velen is annoying)

Honestly i wouldn’t uber invest into mercs, it’s easy to fall into a trap where you worry about the best but it’s likely a dying gamemode in mass popularity past solo grinding. The pvp rewards aren’t good, and the inability to target specific coins well as well as all new coins coming from 30 minute long bounties vs 3-6 minute shorter bounties kinda discourages one from even bothering with them past pvp.

I would still get a quest rare starter pack like idk, Tamsin for 100 shadow, tavish Explosive trap + friendly fire for 100 fire, Xyrella will cover 100 holy, Guff / anaconda can do 100 nature, Tyrande/millhouse can do 100 arcane, etc.

I just wouldn’t invest in the mode or worry too much about natural comps. Generally better mercs going together is better and for pve you can pick your battles so 2+1 comps (Etc: 2 casters + 1 fighter. Instantly one shot any protector, instantly finish any caster, etc), or vice aversa works well.

Ideally many people like 1 of each, but for pvp comps are more important, and for pve, protectors generally aren’t good at mass aoe (pve), don’t do good damage, and generally have slow attack speeds or don’t do direct damage even when good (like cairne, who was a mvp of diablo comps but didn’t directly attack very often)

I’d worry more about rofl stomping the enemy opponent or setting up a easy farming comp. And for that, MVK for f2p friendlyness or XCB (Xyrella, Cariel, Blademaster) or Fire comp / Holy/Nature do fine for pve and felwood farming imo, and pvp, just do whatever pvp comp you want that’s good.

Rexxar shoots millhouse to death with green dhide and a magic shortbow.

Cariel smashes Rexxar to death with Melee’s range defense and dds gmaul specs him for lethal. “Lol noob, ez”

Millhouse ice barrages Cariel to death while wearing the melee equivalent of toilet paper as armor.

Runescape references. I haven’t played in years yet still recognize green dhide/ Mage sbow
