Mercenaries Bugs

  1. Bounty Bug. When you complete a bounty and coins are given out, if both or 2 of the 3 are for the same character/mercenary, you will only receive one, so one bounty becomes obsolete.

  2. Treasure bug. Jaraxxus and Illidan. There are 2 treasures you can get for these characters, one is take 10/10 from a minion at start of game, and the other is take 3/3 from all minions at start of game. When Jaraxxus and Illidan have one each of those treasures, only one will apply and the other does not activate.

  3. War Master Voone. Dragon Breath does no damage sometimes. Has happened 3 times that I have seen.

Note: All above are PvE situations.

For the missing bounty bug, any possibility of getting the coins back ?

I opened some packs and got only coins - not even a portrait and before you say anything I have not unlocked all the portraits for the Mercenaries.

“Each Mercenaries Pack contains at least one Rare or better Mercenary Card, subject to the duplicate mechanics below.”

Blizzard Watch in “Are you only getting coins in your Hearthstone Mercenaries packs? This is why.” tries to explain the issue.

" For example, let’s say you have all of the Rare Mercenaries unlocked, but not all of the Epic Mercenaries, and barely any of the Legendaries. You open a pack, the card rarity is determined to be Rare, and the roulette lands on Scabbs Cutterbutter. You have all three portraits for Scabs, but not for other Rares, like Xyrella. You get five sets of coins."

But portraits are depicted as cards so why in name of sanity is the system not limiting the pool before it rolls for the random card?! In the above example Scabbs Cutterbutter should be removed from the selection pool and then the random card/portait is chosen.

Packs in regular hearthstone behave that way - shrinking the rare pool until it is zero. Why is Mercenaries doing something different?

So I thought the bug was fixed with the obsolete task rewards. It was working correctly when 2 of 2 rewards are for the same mercenaries now.

But when 2 of 3 rewards are for the same mercenaries, you only get the lesser of the 2.
Just completed Ragnaros 4 heroic bounties. 2 of 3 rewards was for Rag, but only got the lesser 50 or 60 coins and not the primary 70 coins + the second reward.

Feedback & kindly assist.

Did get a 5 pack after the first post, do not know if everyone got it or just me for the missing rewards, but thanx either ways.

Edit: Maybe it was a bug or a dev here helped, but after I did task 14 for Rag shortly after posting, I checked coins total and got another 70 coins that was missing from the earlier task.

A misunderstanding of how packs work does not constitute a Bug.

Yes, the rules are somewhat convoluted but they are working as intended. Portraits are not cards. You have a chance to get Portraits in place of coins, not in place of new Cards. If you have all the Mercs for a specific rarity you are not guaranteed to get a Portrait instead, you will get coins and possibly a Portrait.

Blink Fox: Equiping Level 7 gear does not behave as the text says. It should copy the last used ability from enemies in last round, but it actually never does.

Another Task rewards bug.

Uther. Again when both rewards are for the same mercenary, only the lesser reward is given. It happened at the task before the kill 40 minions task.

When it happened recently with Ragnaros, I got the missing 70 coins from Rag’s next task so I thought maybe it was just a bug that resolves itself when you completed the next bounty. Did not happen this time so I think it was probably a dev who read the post arranged for the coins to be given ?

Feedback and kindly assist.

At this point, it has also got me to thinking, if the reward of coins has an obsolete bug when both coin rewards are for the same mercenary, does this bug also apply when you open packs ? The probability is there but would be way too troublesome to take note of all current coins before opening packs.

To Shroominator: If you have not already figured it out, you have to cast the current ability first for the ability to swap out.
