Beaten every adventure they’ve come out with, even the new one…except I still can’t get through the Witchwood Monster Hunt because of Toki. sigh
Go for double cast + quest. Pretty hard to lose when you get 3 turns in a row.
You’re giving me flashbacks here, Toki was the one I struggled the most as well. The weird thing is that the final boss I always beat (and I did the quest for multiple regions in multiple accounts since it took up space in the quest log) getting there was the issue. Especially the satyr that stole all minions with 1 or less attack I don’t know if I beat her 1/3rd of the time.
I think as kalis said double cast is the nuts, even without the quest if you get stuff like blizzard and flamestrike primordial glyphs etc cast twice it’s pretty good, just be careful when picking things that target.
Also if I remember correctly toki is when I first starting seeing how valuable potion of vitality is, being able to get full value out of your spells instead of frantically casting them to stay alive, as well as being able to craft a bit greedier without being that afraid of getting run down by early aggression can be such a runsaver.
I gave up on Toki at loss #100. Won’t touch that doodoo EVER again and Dalaran H5 is well on it’s way to being shelved as well. Glad I didn’t give Blizz any real world money for this POS.
She is the hardest.
You can go online to see Future Toki’s deck list. It helps. Also you can check YouTube streamer videos.
Always take “cast twice” passive, it’s OP.
You have to play with the RNG if there’s a nut play, every turn. There usually is, you have to play slowly to catch them. Play out every full turn before using HP, even if it looks horrible from the first RNG.
Quest is good, that’s how I beat it.
MMM ddouble cast plusuest!!!
I got ddoublecaast tice once andd got soooo many bonus tu0116002222ns
Potion of Vitality. An absolute MUST HAVE. In the later fights if you start getting lower on health than some of the aggressive bosses, you’re screwed.
Exactly, this is OP and makes for an easy win most times
Wow. This coming from the king of the Norse gods. I expected more from you.
Even Wotan knew when to leave things be.
Fair enough, Wotan. Fair enough.
I thought Toki was the easiest, as she was the first one I beat it with. Take the double time buff or whatever it’s called, and try and make sure the first spell you cast is something that only benefits you. Ex. only damages enemies, discover/draw, revive/recruit as opposed to accidentally fireballing yourself in the face, buffing an opponent’s minion, or destroying one of your own. If you get the minion that refreshes your hero power when you play a spell you basically have infinite do-overs to get your RNG to go the way you want it to. It might take a few tries, but for the most part I never felt overly discouraged trying to complete her route.
Meanwhile, HS is still garbage. I want so badly to love the new Dalaran Heist but their only way of making it challenging is giving the AI OP nonsense. It’s ironic because in all the marketing for the mode it was said the player was going to have the broken OP decks.
LOL … I once managed to use that “damage one of your OWN minions” to a really great advantage - had a card that dealt three fireballs at 3 damage each, stacked it with +5 spell damage, and ANOTHER +3 spell damage … each fireball did 11 damage, for a total of 33. One-hit KO. Best moment I’ve ever had in Hearthstone. Boy was the dude I played against triggered.
Well we may not be the only ones, but we do have broken OP decks. After I had a run with rocket backpack, it takes me a couple of games to stop feeling like something is missing when my minions don’t instantly rush.
I will agree that some bosses take things too far with their hero powers, but it makes sense that they would also have OP decks/hero powers. Can you imagine if the AI only had a standard ladder deck while you had all the passives and treasures and with making better plays as well? It would be outlandishly boring.
Again, I’m not saying every boss is perfectly balanced (or even decently balanced), but I can’t see how they could have had even a slightly interesting solo adventure experience, if the premise wasn’t about the bosses also being powerful and you outplaying them to win.
