Sorry to hear that but that’s the whole point, they make you want to buy the loot boxes and they tend to be underwhelming so that you get impulsive and feel like you need to buy more loot boxes because “the next loot box could be a legendary”. Don’t spend money until they fix the drop rate of epics and even rares so you don’t keep getting copies of cards you already own.

Also, why support them when I pay more taxes than they do?

Maybe because you might find some enjoyment from the entertainment product they have created, distributed, maintain, and update.

It is also worth mentioning that each expansion has it’s own pity timer. So, assuming you just opened a Legendary from each expansion, you’re less likely to open one from 10 packs of two different expansions than you are from 20 packs of a single expansion.

Sure :smiley: But as a player without mechanical knowledge you’d think that 20 packs equal good chances to draw a legendary card (as proven by OP) which it’s not since the cards come from 2 different sets.

Also: I called it “a little scammy”, not a lot. I have the feeling the devs know full well that 10/10 packs is less favorable than 20 from one.

You could also make the argument that 10 Rastakhan packs at a discount would be a nice deal for people who still want to get cards from a set that’s good for another 10 months.

It was a little greedy not offer boomsday packs instead of some of the two expansions.

It is like they think that people will not only buy that deal but also buy boomsday packs because of the card buffs.

I can guarantee that it would actually sell more deals with boomsday packs even if they did not include RoS packs.

A buck a pack is a good price and matches what you get when buying the expansion release bundles.

Keep in mind also that this bundle is not really for folks who have solid collections already. It’s for newer players who need a bit of a leg up into the Standard format.

Your views are skewed.

People on social media generally announce it when they have good pulls and don’t say anything when they have bad pulls.

It’s not an indicator of anything.

I got 3 Legendarys :smiley: but 2 were trash the bat guy & the other bat chick that makes 2 more if it gets discarded & then malagos 1 golden blue & like 2 or 3 purples

All card packs are a gamble. I didn’t get any cards out of that bundle worth mentioning, and certainly no legendaries. I was disappointed but not really surprised.

You have a “pity timer” that make sure you get a legendary at least every “X number of pack” but its base on the expansion and not the overall pack you open.

So lets say that lately you got a legendary out of those 3 expansion and THEN you buy the bundle, the chance to have no legendary will be very high since your “pity timer” are all reset for all 3 expansions.

I hate bundle of multiple expansion for this reason, you buy 30 pack of ONE expansion and you will probably get at least 1 legendary but not if its 3 different expansion.

This is exactly why people should learn to never spend money on a free game.

It’s just stupid when the game developers specially stated that the game is “free to play” yet people still throw money at them.

If devs need money, they should say so. Even if they charged HS $100 per expansion then I would gladly pay them for their amazing work. But saying the game “free” and then luring people to spend money is scamming.

The game itself is free. What you buy is not, in any form, necessary to play or to achieve literally any goal you might set for your enjoyment, be it reaching the legend or having a full golden collection.

Packs/bundles/loot boxes are the same as gambling. That is why such things are illegal in some countries. All you ever see is people winning. They do not want to show you the 10,000+ loser to that one winner. So you do not realise it until you are sad and broken hearted making posts like this. You have that sense of loss and buyer’s remorse.

Is it a scam? No, they outline it for you, what you are buying, but again, you generally only see winners, so you have an expectation to be one, also.
But, alas, there has to be losers. A BUNCH of them, for there to be a winner. And the loser if often, you, me, everyone else, but that one or two people.
