Mankrik reshuffles deck

I just noticed this earlier. I played Faelin and then played Mankrik. Shortly after I drew a random colossus with 20 odd cards left in the deck. I am pretty sure it was the Mankrik battlecry that triggered this. Just thought it was worth noting… maybe even useful with the right deck.

Effects putting cards in a random place of your deck tend to shuffle your deck.

If I’m not mistaken, only cards puting things on the bottom (or top with dredge) of your deck and tradeables don’t shuffle the deck.

If the card text uses the word “shuffle”, then it reshuffles the deck. Mankrik fits here.

If the card text doesn’t use the word “shuffle”, then it doesn’t shuffle the deck. This is where Tradeables and Sunken cards fit.

There are currently 13 cards in Standard that reshuffle decks:

I think shuffling the deck could be used to complement a ‘sunken’ deck. I

To be fair, Mankrik’s card text is very ambiguous :
Battlecry: Help Mankrik find his wife! She was last seen somewhere in your deck.

On that particular one, we can understand people can get confused, even if it exactly what happens : mankrik’s wife gets shuffled into the deck.

It’s also important to note that text that says “Swap with a card in your deck” does not shuffle.

They stealth fixed this awhile ago after the Elekk came out. It used to be you could swap a minion in your deck and elekk would shuffle another in because it counted as a shuffle. They fixed it and it no longer does.

Gave me sad face that they killed my 60 card deck full of Dr. Morrigans that would then take 20+ minutes to shuffle cards.

Of course it shuffles the deck - it has to put itself on the top somehow after all.

I had a preist copycat deck in wild a few years ago. One of my favorite matchups was jade Druid where you could take the jade spell and use auctioneer plus Radiant elemental to endlessly play jades and have a 60 card deck too xD. That’s how I discovered that playing a jade with a full board still stacks the count making them bigger
