Mana cheating has simply obliterated this game

Since a while ago i was hopeful that they learned their lesson in regards to mana cheating in HS, but thats simply not true. They are clueless and this last expansion just proves it.
I play couple of games a day. I feel that casual play is just for absolute beginners without a proper collection or understanding of the game. So naturally i go on ranked standard.
Well this particular place is hell. You simply cannot have fun. All people are doing is finding ways to become degenerate with the tools Blizzard provided. While this is normal on Wild, it should not be normal in standard.
Priest should not be able to play 40 mana worth of stats and get an extra turn by turn 8. This should’ve been addressed in day 1… but we’re so many weeks in and no signs for addressing this.
Hunter with its imbue cheats mana like crazy, with Sing-along buddy its crazy. Meta feels like a drag for combo pieces, which are so easy to gather these days with all these tutor cards they all have.
The swings allowed in this game are crazy… from no board to huge board, from sitting pretty at 40+ hp to no hp.

If HS overall is dedicated to your average casual Joe, then this is disaster.

Zarimi is bait. Terrible on any rank above diamond because it just dies to better boards before round 8. It’s there to teach people being impressed by a win condition doesn’t mean it brings rank because it may not bring winrate.

Dont listen to carnivore anout zarimi priest, the 7-8 turn timer shouldnt be a thing and the naralex, briarthorns, into extra turn shouldnt be a thing.

Don’t listen if you want to lose. Beginners should be playing simpler and better decks like a basic Death Knight with a lot of reborn. Zarimi gives the delusion it’s good because the win condition is impressive so it’s more psychological than actual winrate.

Zero mana cards have always been a problem so they solved that by making mana irrelevant in the endgame of a match.

Once Warlock started getting mana cheat(and good mana cheat at that) i knew the end of hearthstone had been set in motion.

Probably best to find a new hobby game.

You certainly didn’t, since you’re still here.

Bold assumption from a robot.

Beep boop

I’m not sure I’d be that harsh on Zarimi priest. The deck is strong into everything but rogue, paladin, and DH. At top legend that’s all you’ll see, as people tend to stick to the best decks up there, so obviously it has a cap on how high you’ll be able to climb with it (don’t expect 11x star bonus). The deck is definitely capable of reaching legend each month if you aren’t in those MMR brackets though.

If/when the top 3 gets nerfed (probable a few weeks after the mini set), Zarimi priest kind of needs a nerf to go along with them so that it doesn’t take over the meta.

You’re still here aren’t you? You still care about Hearthstone.

Those are usually enough to make it a bad choice, but it’s even worse than that. I think its board presence is just weak or at least weaker than others so it seems to die to even simple board aggro like typical death knights of cheap cards that mainly reborn and deathrattle or a typical dude paladin and those decks appear with a higher win rate even above diamond.

And the irony is they’re probably easier to play decks for beginners. Beginners should be playing a simple death knight or a simple flood paladin if they want winrate.

I find it utterly useless to compare it with other classes by saying, yeah, they all do it. But the other classes don’t have tools to get AN EXTRA FREEKING TURN. If they fill up the board, at least you have the option to act on it.

Youre right tho. Love the game, but continuously its community turns my stomach forcing the question, “why even waste my time interacting with these people”

Zarimi Priest is good but not for begginers.

That thing isn’t even a combo deck really. Is Just a midrange deck with a flashy finisher slam into it.

The begginers are probably losing tons of lethal damage turns with it.

The number of times where you Just don’t do the combo and get lethal anyway are also dumb.

Being forced to play a fast deck to compete shouldn’t be a thing. I generally despise playing fast decks. I am just floating around low legend playing Imbue Paladin. Just don’t want to play any aggro decks. Thats just my opinion. It is what it is, Winning in hearthstone doesnt really feel like a need for me.

Not useful, if you never use it.

Then it might need skill better than the top 50 of legend, because whoever plays it there gets only ~50%, and it’s probably lower because stats sites inflate the numbers.

It took you that long? I knew it like two years ago minimum, simply by the patch notes and changes, and validated by the game play.

Here comes HS-2.0, v1 is broke, and too difficult to fix, so lets release v2.0 grab all the money we can, and in 6 months be right back where we started when we left v1

I really do wish that Blizzard would rethink the whole mana-cheating/mana-reduction thing and make it really limited it like it used to be early in Hearthstone. Back then a 1 mana reduction was HUGE. Now we have cards being reduced from 10 mana to 1 or even 0 and it just renders mana utterly meaningless for the classes that can abuse such reductions. Unfortunately, if they were ever to rethink it, I believe it would require a fully clean slate to implement. Flashy gameplay does not mean good or fun gameplay Blizzard…or even satisfying victories because you know you abused a mechanic that is garbage.

Is that all?

I really wish Blizzard would rethink the whole selling out to Activision, which is owned by MS.

When Blizzard was it’s own entity, it was good, and everything a gamer wanted in a publisher/producer/developer.

Since they sold out, it’s gone the way of…

Programs, all programs, programs and features, Software,

Same #$% just renamed to justify a salary. That’s the quality we have now.

I 100% agree mana cheating this destroying HS.
