Just wondering abiut the latest vs report. Nowhere is armor warlock mentioned, did it not have enough playrate i wonder?
Do you really need them? Just go hsguru and start filtering both in the Decks and Meta tabs according to your needs. The data ZachO has aren’t that much more (even if technically they are more)
And after you do a lot of careful filtering on hsguru, you will likely get more useful data for your own needs.
You know how it goes with VS
By the time they compile, analyze and publish the meta, the meta has shifted 180 degrees.
It’s only useful as a solution checker after you’ve already made a prediction to see if the top analysts agree or not, but even then it’s kinda meh, because their reports rarely align with actual experience on the ladder.
You can optimize even for that at hsguru. There is filtering for only daily stats. Often each deck (or at least archetype) has more than 60 samples and that’s the point that win rates start stabilizing.
It’s still a lagging indicator, but the past 24 hours are a way better base for metrics than hearing what ZachO looked at a week ago.
Yes, I’ve completely given up VS and turned only to donkey. I don’t use it a lot, but all the decks I’ll need are there and they’re much more up to date.
yeah they were always late by 1 week, i predicted dungar rise since it’s a good counter to rogue yet they weren’t reporting that by the time dungar was starting to see plays. the report is still useful though
The deck has been around for weeks. It’s just people are just now seeing it Because some streamers are playing it.
There’s plenty of data on it on hs replay. Bottom of tier 4. It’s a niche deck that only beats up on a few late game decks that’s it
Warlocks don’t gain armor, must be trolling?
Because, it was a sleeper. I mentioned it to people and one in particular called it a meme deck. The deck has a higher skill ceiling than most.
All the stats collection sites are partly overrated if you have access to knowledge from the top 100 ranks. They mainly record for the 1K and down anyway.
If you really want to find the most niche decks it also helps at hsguru to literally look at the streamer decks.
The deck is not very good. I am seeing a lot of decks on ladder that seem very similar to ones from past expansions. Warrior is one of them that I do not understand. Its not very good and is slow. It just feels very out of place in this meta to me.
Yes they do. You’re just unaware of how.
Warlock is about using life as a resource to generate power, not armor gain. Armor is for Druid and Warrior
It’s now another source where if you pay for it, you get better data via the vs live page, but that only shows things with high play rates.
Hsguru is best for up to date info, but has a ton of low sample decks to look at where the stats aren’t saying much.
They bounce some armor-generating minions around and duplicate them. It synergizes with the Wheel. Check their decks’ cards.
Sure thing, whatever you say. There’s absolutely no armor gain in Warlock right now and all these people are lying. Warlocks are definitely NOT gaining 100s of armor.
You absolutely know your stuff. Good job.
I find the norm is for people to disrespect too easily some sample sizes. E.g. below 50 samples it’s indeed very sketchy, but I’ve found out after 60 samples a deck or archetype starts stabilizing in win rate.
Also small differences in win rate are overrated in themselves because the win rate changes after the opponents adapt and that can happen even within the same day.
An additional effect most people never think about is the homebrewer is often one of the best players of a netdeck so it might explain high win rate on few samples.
Thanks, I do, and you’re welcome
Armor Warlock is like a t4 deck… maybe or t5. Having played it it doesn’t really do well versus anything, you need a god draw to win. The few times you get the starship up it just gets stolen with Bob. Before Bob it was maybe a t2 or t3 deck.
The Best players can maybe maintain a50 percent winrate.
It’s a t3-t4 deck ATM but it can EASILY jump a couple placings with nerfs to some key cards that are keeping it in check. On the flip side it was a brilliant pick for the worlds tournament format.
