Its had bin such a long time that i ever came across someone with a full golden deck.
Ive counted what what the total cost would be of full golden deck the crafting cost is slightly above 45k dust.
Can even lower it by bout 4k if i would dust the legendaries that i replace however since the horrible dustrefunds doubt i would.
Now if i would dust all my golden Common, rare and epic cards baring a few i want to/would use i have about 30k total saved(this includes my current dustpile and the autodustbutton duplicates)
Ive also a couple of golden legendaries. DK Thrall, High inquisitor Whitemane, Nozdormu and Illidan Stormrage.
Now the first two are cards i doubt i would dust. There fun cards and are actually used in decks(or atleast can be). The latter 2 being Nozdormu and illidan are not.
What are your thoughts on how i should approach this?
Piece by piece or all at ones?
Dust legends or not cus there legends?
I did this once before, but I put some basic cards, for a Beast Hunter Deck!
I would dust every single one of my normal cards before ever touching my golden cards.

Haha
Total opposite here. I think that golden cards are nice to have … to dust them if I don’t need them. I’d much rather prefer better draws from packs to craft weird and wildly different decks.
Just craft a golden Whizbang dude and get your fix.

Zayle also fulfills this at least while he is in Standard anyway. Doubt the decks will remain relevant once they hit Wild.
What deck are you looking at making golden? I’d never advise it for Standard if you tend to only play Standard as the meta shifts a lot more violently from expansion to expansion and many Standard decks cannot exist in Wild due to the power difference.
I do it piece by piece normally (for Wild); however, I did do my Murloc Shaman all at once after playing it a few games. I like tribal decks and I am fairly certain Murloc Shaman will remain a Wild entity for a good long time so I felt okay doing it. I am currently crafting Control Dragon Priest in gold in pieces (1 card per month usually) and Cubelock (1 card every two months or so) and, thus, it kind of ads a collecting element to the game a bit for me and I have a continual goal ahead.
For Wild I dusted legends I could never see myself using. For instance, bad example I know, but Duskfallen Aviana or Morabi. Off the top of my head I dusted 4 legends last time I cleaned my collection:
- Runespear: I loved it but the variance is too high in Wild
- Duskfallen Aviana: Trash card
- Flame Leviathon: Horrible, horrible card
- Golden Mazar: I am not a fan of Reno decks in general
I’ve crafted two golden decks in my lifetime so far: Murloc Shaman which I expect to be relevant for awhile and Elemental Shaman in Standard but I was lucky and unpacked most of that in gold already for Journey to Un’Goro. I think I literally had to craft 2 commons, 3 rares, and Blood Mage Thalnos. J2U is still my luckiest expac unpacking ever, lol.
When (Whizbang) is moved to wild he should make a special wild deck!

Seems like such a waste of dust… I have a lot of random golden cards laying around since I don’t dust the ones I get. I’d sooner just make some weird meme deck out of all them than try to make a competitive golden deck. Hmm, this might actually be a fun challenge. Make the best deck with whatever golden cards you have…

I like full golden decks, but seems so hard to make them since it requires too many dust. But at least looks good!
As Lykotic said - maybe its better to craft wild deck because that will stay there “forever”.
I would definitely like to see that Golden Dragon list
i don’t know how you have that many especially when they’re so rare, we get like one a year
bin playing since beta. pretty sure that is 1 a year. opened Whitemane couple of days ago.
It is currently being tweaked as I had a comfortable list for the Kingsbane Aggro Meta but the current Quest Cyclone Mage + Big Priest meta for Wild is causing me a few more issues:
Control Doctrine
Class: Priest
Format: Wild
Year of the Dragon
2x (1) Northshire Cleric
2x (1) Potion of Madness
1x (2) Firetree Witchdoctor
2x (2) Mind Blast
2x (2) Netherspite Historian
2x (2) Shadow Visions
1x (3) Twilight Acolyte
2x (4) Duskbreaker
2x (4) Twilight Guardian
2x (5) Azure Drake
2x (5) Drakonid Operative
1x (6) Cabal Shadow Priest
2x (6) Dragonfire Potion
1x (6) Emperor Thaurissan
2x (6) Entomb
1x (7) Prophet Velen
2x (7) Psychic Scream
