At times, we on the technical support forums do acknowledge bugs to provide insight and visibility to you in these situations and updates when possible. For new bugs within Hearthstone that have not been addressed or acknowledged yet, please refer to the bug report forums so the appropriate departments can look into the issue and reports can be acknowledged by our team.
I really appreciate your reports so far, and we’ll keep watch on any of these new issues that are being reported so that we can gather more information and send up as well. I’ll continue to update when we have more information about the two issues mentioned on this thread.
Similar issues here - iPad Pro on iOS 13.3
Frequent crashes, usually on attempting to play a card, in ranked, casual, arena and solo (definitely NOT just in ranked play)
After a crash gold will appear to be zero and will only appear correctly after completely closing app and re-logging.
These crashes have only been happening since the balance patch just before Christmas.
Frustrated as iPad is my primary platform (had to abandon play on ladder for this month), but understand the timing re: holiday season.

Thanks for the updated. I’m anxious to start playing again. Too bad I couldn’t play the new expansion over my holidays but these things happen

I have the exact same problem, the game crashes when playing a card (most often the first card). Also, gold is shown as 0. ipad pro / 13.2 and 13.3.

Constantly, on both iPad and iPhone. Uninstalling and reinstalling did not help

iPad Air 2 running 13.3. Still an issue for me. Crashes (typically) around turn 2 when looking at a card in my hand. I’m able to reconnect to game most times, but the action only repeats itself during the next hand in “Play” mode.
Solo Adventures are the same, but I’m able to finish a boss after my first “reconnect”… until the next boss.
Have uninstalled, hard reset of iPad, and reinstalled completely. No fix. 95% of my play is on iPad, and this is a severe hinderance to play. We need a fix ASAP.

iPad 5, iOS 13.3. Haven’t been able to text message for a few months. App crashes regularly when trying to play a card in the first few turns since Descent of dragons.
What is taking so long? Every game a crash, every crash an incentive to uninstall and walk away for good. Second time this game has become unplayable on iPad for weeks. Pretty awful.

Having issues on ipad pro. The game crashes mid game when selecting a card from hand. Then unable to rejoin the game. This happens every game.
On my iphone i experience the same crashes but not as frequently.
Very frustrating not being able to play over the holidays

Game doing a force close all the time , and for long time and it’s looks like nobody care , it’s shame shaaaame blizzard

I don’t wanna be salty, but I 've had enough of crashing and not being able to play especially DURING HOLIDAYS, losing cause turns runs out of time and not being able to place again in the tops to get my rewards. FURTHERMORE you should be aware of how hard is to get cards without shopping, and I shopped a lot cause I appreciate the game. Tomorrow I’ll receive my moldy low rank chest as the outcome of a bug that lasted like weeks, I’m pretty unsatisfied and I think I can talk for many others saying this. For such issues other companies often give something simbolic in order to let his players knows it’s worth the candle keeping the bond, I humbly hope Blizzard to be more aware of his comunity as often it seems that we are only lemons to squeeze.
I’m a little upset about this. So try to connect with those who hoped to complete their progress during the few time they had, and constantly finance you trough buying your products to support you.
PS. I play on an IPAD Pro 7 and a huawei p20 lite and I have the same problem in either devices.

I agree with this gentleman’s thinking. I’ve spent lots of money on packs supporting this game over the years and bought lots of packs for this expansion. Other big AAA companies would have been more transparent with their clients re a fix and an expected time frame for that fix. I am ready to move on to another TCG. So I guess I’m salty too

There’s a serious compatibility problem across numerous iPad devices.
Just to be clear - are Blizzard NOT going to fix this? And just hope Apple do…?
Should you change the min specs on the website as they are currently untrue…

Nicodeamus, this is not an issue with iOS. There’s some complexities that we are aware of and our team is investigating the issue to address this as quickly as possible. Please keep a watch on our patch notes for our team to address the iOS issues. I’ll try to update here when we have more information.

I’m curious why it’s taking weeks to achieve that “quick fix” you mentioned. That post was 10 days ago, and the issue was before that. Even with holidays a major crash bug should be fixed by now.

In the two weeks since the game-breaking Hearthstone update was released on December 17, DOTA Underlords, a game still in beta, has received no fewer than four updates:
- December 18
- December 19
- December 23
- December 28
Meanwhile Hearthstone on iPad remains unplayable. For a game that makes so much money, it’s sort of offensive that Blizzard allocates so few resources toward supporting it.

FWIW, I’ve found that HS crashes on my iPad both
A) ALWAYS if I swipe up from the bottom during my first turn, and
B) often (but not always) when I accidentally swipe from any direction thereafter.
It’s frustrating and downright infuriating that fundamental bugs can be introduced just before the holidays and the left unaddressed for weeks.
This speaks to the poor quality of your (Blizzard) QA dept, given how obvious bugs experienced by MANY users are missed or ignored by whatever half-assed QA checks & incompetent hacks Blizzard employs, and then pushed to prod (introduced to all users) immediately before most employees go on a scheduled holiday break.
That said, to those posters above slamming HS devs & Co. for not fixing this right away, remember that the last two weeks are often taken as holidays or vacation by most (at least in the US). I’m as frustrated as anyone but I don’t expect every dev to be fixing bugs on New Years Day… or at least that’s me.
