Mage quest in wild

Can we PLEASE get a rework on the mage quest that gives an extra turn. It’s so bloody toxic.
Just make it “give one extra turn. (once per game only)”

I would love to see the quest banned.
Perhaps then Mage could be given a different playstyle, since this is the only truly viable deck that mage has in Wild.
A slow, complicated, deck that opponents despise.

Isn’t that a good thing?

Do you think any deck so polarizing should exist?
I would guess most mage players don’t even play it.
Most of the play I see in Wild, I strongly suspect comes from bots.

I’m not here to entertain my opponents, I’m here to beat them.

I don’t really care how they feel about anything.

Unless they come up with something else to replace it by reverts or new cards, mage has no truly high legend deck left in Wild, other than Quest.
They have nerfed everything else to a point that nothing is strong enough.

Pretty easy, if blizzard actually wanted to fix it. Make the reward a location card instead of a spell.

Wild isn’t Standard. If you want to play Standard, play Standard. Stop trying to turn Wild into Standard.

Team 5 already did, when they chose to nerf some classes, but not others, and revert some classes cards, but not others.

It’s only polarizing to people too ignorant and/or stubborn to press the Concede button. Otherwise it’s no different from any other OTK.

I will never be a fan of a glacially slow, RNG dictated, OTK deck.

To be fair, there are a lot of decks that are infuriating in wild, quest mage in only one of them.

I really like that “Only once per game” limitation they introduced. I’d definitely see it as a good way of nerfing some cards without killing them

No, it’s not my cup of tea, either. I prefer aggro.

I don’t care what my opponent plays; I fancy that I can beat all comers.

yeah ditto. fast decks are my thing, but team 5 has pretty much made quest the only deck that can win at diamond and above for mage.
You can still win with secret if the opponent is terrible, but it takes forever since the nerfs.

It only polarizing if you don’t play with a sense of urgency. Many people just can’t seem to understand that. You can’t play your 40 turn fatigue games against combo decks. Combo decks put you on a clock to beat them before they complete their wombo combo. Blizzard doesn’t make hard disruption ever. You at best get soft disruption to slow down combos. Combos get nerfed when they are consistently way too fast for decks to reasonable race against in the format that deck is in. Wild Quest Mage isn’t.

Definitely not. The slowest, dumbest deck ever invented, imho.

You clearly don’t play wild if you are calling quest mage a deck that any other deck can resonably race against to kill before they are then able to either be unkillable or/and have infinite turns with no counterplay.

off meta garbage home brews don’t count. Blizzard doesn’t balance around people playing garbage piles.

Blizzard has proven rather arbitrary with what they have chosen to nerf in Wild vs. what they haven’t.
Same with reverts.
Quest mage is the only deck Team 5 has chosen to allow as a top deck in Wild for mage.

Just so everyone knows? This isn’t a real game.
A real game allows every class a decent chance of winning each game, dependent on proficiency.
This product doesn’t do that. It rotates the luxury of consistently winning between classes, and even in that, it manages to show undeniable bias, by way of difficulty in playstyles, overall strength of cards, as well as nerfs, buffs, and reversions.

Clear advantages have been afforded to select classes far more often than others over the years, and anyone who plays Wild is keenly aware of that truth.

Quest mage is all that Wild mage is afforded, while other classes are given far more options.

So; if Quest mage were nerfed, then wild mage would have no truly viable legend deck left.
