Title says it all. If you want to win in arena pick mage. If you don’t get mage then you are sure to lose against them and have wasted your gold/ money buying an arena run. Mage is a free plus or minus 8 or so wins in arena even with a 0 Legendary deck with bad neutral minions. Hunter is second to mage here but doesn’t even come close.
Until you run into 4 mages in a row, which just happened to me.
HSreplay stats say otherwise. Mage has been staying in the 53-54% range. With Hunter Druid and Paladin not that far behind in the 50-52% range. Priest, Warrior, and Rogue, can also get there with a good draft roll. DK and Shaman need a high roll though. It’s only Warlock and DH that need the god roll and DH needs luck on top of that.
Remember that 3-3 is the average and is 50% win/loss. Even the leaderboards on NA quickly drops below 7 wins starting at 8 at the time I am posting thing. On Asia even #1 is under 7 wins. On EU where it seem to be the least competitive the first page drops below 7 wins. Expecting every run to be 7+ is insane when only a small% of the best in the world in try hard mode have been able to get it done.
Well basically every time I pick mage I get 7 or more wins-- even with below average decks, any other class doesn’t even come close to mage win percentage in arena. I think the worst I’ve done with mage out of the 8 times I’ve picked it this split is a 4 win run, every other time has been free and I’ve hit 11 wins twice with it. Also I have the highest loss rate against other mages in Arena too.
Any other class I pick I usually only get 2-4 wins except hunter which is usually around 4-5. Even my current run as Paladin with 3 extremely strong legendaries, strong paladin cards and above average neutral cards my run ended 4-3 with all 3 of those losses being to mage.
i dont think the tittle says what you think it says
Mage being low skill cap isn’t the same as being oppressive. The stats say otherwise. People are winning with other classes. It’s not like DK was in the last meta being over 60% holding closer to 65% and the 2nd best class barely holding anywhere close to 50% with the rest of the field under 50% that’s what oppressive looks like.
How? What does the title say that doesn’t relate to anything I posted? “Mage is Oppressive in Arena”
In other words for ESL people, mage is too strong in arena.
Aggressive hunter or druid decks actually beat most mage decks since all they care about is value.
Just don’t overplay into deathborne
53.7% is far from being oppressive.
Classes below 45% needs a buff. Classes above 55% needs a nerf. It’s in the normal range.
