Lots of Hacks/Bots

Hi, Why have so many hacks in the game?

Are you talking about the Arena hacks? I know that’s been addressed with people finding ways to manipulate the Treasures in Arena, but I don’t know if it’s still an ongoing issue. I’m not sure what other hacks you could be referring to. The botting issue is pretty out of hand. Any number of account bans done by Blizzard is basically trying to dam a river with a band-aid. I just report accounts at the start of match if I suspect they’re bots and move on.

SO many people cheat in this game… Seeing people having the right card(s) all the time for every possible scenerio is getting ugly.

Are we talking about actual cheating or is there bitterness at a match loss?

So many people get lucky too but they’re not cheating. Most calls for “RIGGED!” is our selfishness playing tricks on us. A good test question is: “do I ever think of those things when I get lucky and win?”.

i gotta say, this topic and these replies made me laugh, thanks, that felt good

Must be a greed priest.

When I was doing the Mass Production achievement, I still had a lot of cards always, but I died.

Unfortunately, that’s a pretty hard scenario to prove on your end. I’ve definitely had plenty of games where my opponent had the perfect curve/exact cards and it’s tilted me. Were they cheating? I’d have no way to know. I won’t say these types of cheats don’t exist, but just not to my knowledge. God knows cheaters will try anything if there’s a code that enables it.

There have been documented cases of people cheating. There was someone recently - I think back during the last Heroic Brawl - that hacked themselves to start as Jaraxus. And they faced against a streamer, who streamed them live doing it. Twice. (they lost the first time against the streamer)

That guy got banned and the exploit was supposedly hotfixed. But the point is, it CAN happen.

As for how PREVALENT it is? That, as you said, is hard to prove. Theoretically though the actual manipulation of things - which card gets drawn, which spells get discovered, etc - all of that theoretically happens server side, and is merely told to the client. So while it’s easy to show which cards you’ve drawn via GUI, and track which ones are left (your typical deck trackers like hsreplay), actually CHANGING what you draw should theoretically be harder to do on a consistent basis without being flagged, either internally or via user reports.

Which honestly, even if I were the kind of idiot who’d hack live-service games, the “community policing” is what would deter me more than anything else. You literally just don’t know who has cameras on you while in-game. And once that stuff’s on the internet, that’s game over. You’re forever tainted.

Spend all mana in cards every turn?So its impossible win, never can win with this deck
