Faced my 10th deathknight named “red”. 10th time they’ve coined on first to hero power, made bad decisions and ended up losing. Did Blizzard MAKE these bots? Or do they just not care they’re around?
Blizzard introduced bots in the game to have enough “players” in certain ranks. It was in one of their patches afaik.
Blizzard bots always have 2 word names, typically in the form of [adjective][noun] with proper capitalization. They never rope as all their plays are instant. Player bots, on the other hand, often have complete nonsense names like qyzhxnq but can also have sensible names like the one you provided. Both types of bots play terribly, and both are allowed by blizzard*.
*Disclaimer: the player bots are supposed to be forbidden by the TOS, but when you actively turn a blind eye to it for 3+ years you’re basically making an announcement that it’s allowed.

Blizzard bots play Overheal Proest and Rainbow DK.
This is incredibly inaccurate, it made me laugh.
Red isn’t a blizzard bot. Blizzard bots have stupid 2 part names like “HappyPants”. I face one almost every other match. And you can’t add them as friends.
There’s also a ton of what I think are Chinese farming bots. Either with a name like red or affsgQrgt.
Either way the bots are hurting the game and blizzard isn’t doing anything to stop them.

Yes its that bad. Some are programmed to play slower than the average player and if you run into a couple of them during a session its just a waste of time especially for those who don’t have time to waste.
How is it a waste of time. You will still win.
The average player these days likes to rope in turn 1, so I don’t see how the bots are slower than your average player.
How is winning a factor? You must not have many responsibilities to realize how important a person’s time is which is why some players/botters will abuse the system

Is this something that really has to be explained, like for real? I’m playing currently as I type this and in about a hour from now I have somewhere I have to go so I hope to play a decent amount of games and have some fun doing it win or lose.
If my next 3 opponents decided to rope every single turn they play I am not going to have a great time and I’ll feel like my time was wasted regardless of the outcome of the match. If it were a bot and I’m damn near guaranteed to win, It doesn’t matter. I want to actually engage with other real players.
You need to move out of whatever ladder/mmr rank band you are stuck in. I find that at the start of any new month if I lose even 2 games (actual loss or just concede) I often get the blizzard bots right away.
The time roping bots made by actual players are rare when you move up. If you are seeing them later in the month, they are probably just angry players trying to grief random people.
