Lost a game because Zephrys didn't offer me flare

Edit: The very next match the same thing happened again. Also worth noting in both matches the Mages Turn 2 secret tutor pulled exactly Flame Ward, just like it ALWAYS somehow does.

What did it offer you instead and how much Mana did you have?

I had 2 mana left and was offered 2 garbage cards I don’t even remember, and the 4 mana dude that destroys 1 secret.

Did you make sure you only had 2 mana left? If i want flare, I make sure I have 2 mana left for him to work with.

I get it 100%of the time if the opponent has secrets.

I DEFINITELY had exactly 2 mana left both times.

Maybe there was a board state that was causing him to offer other stuff?

If opponent has a full board of threatening minions it will use that info to add board clear options to the pool.

You want that pool dwindled down as much as possible.

Opponent had hardly anything on board. It was CLEAR to any human or computer that flare was exactly what I needed.

Is it possible that it knows if one of the secrets is counterspell?

That may well be the reason I wasn’t offered a Flare but technically speaking having the flare counterspelled would have still gotten rid of the secret and given me peace of mind to attack.

And why the hell is it they manage to tutor exactly Flame Ward literally every single time?

I hate secrets with mage right now cause they have so much random spell generation it is impossible to play around.

This…is interesting.

If he did know the secret, then it is a bug, as Zephrys should only know the board state (cards, HP, weapons, mana, presence of secrets), not information that isn’t available to both players.

To be fair if you had gotten flare, your opponent would be on here instead complaining that they lost a game due to Zephyrs anyways

I don’t think he has any reason to offer you flare to get rid of 1 random secret when your board isn’t threatening lethal. The 4 mana destroy secret card is a “better” offer in this situation.

From how you’re describing the issue, the opponent had only 1 Secret; when it only has 1, Zephrys picks the 4 Mana Agent for Mana/Stats efficiency; 2 Mana destroy 1 Secret and draw 1 doesn’t seem a good deal for the AI;

try waiting for 2+ secrets next time.

So, If I read correctly, you were playing some kind of aggro deck running Zephrys, I’m assuming Lock, and you were up against a mage. It was roughly turn 4, you had a big board and they had a secret up. You played zephrys and got offered the 4 mana guy that would deal with your opponents secret. If you didn’t attack that turn and waited till the next turn to play the 4 mana secret dude, you would have been fine?

If so, that’s not on Zeph, that’s on you.
