Lost a card and got Ysera from a Wild pack

The new update just dropped, but some of my cards are missing. I didn’t disenchant them.

Before the update, I opened some Wild packs, and Ysera showed up — even though she shouldn’t have been in those packs.

This is due to Core set rotation.

Those cards were part of the Core set, meaning they were on temporary loan from Blizzard. But now Blizzard took that loan back, and loaned you some different cards instead.

Which Ysera exactly?

Ysera?
Ysera the Dreamer?
Ysera, Emerald Aspect?
Ysera, Unleashed?

Some cards can be both in the core ser and in Ild expansions. When that’s the case you can still receive them from wild packs as you don’t own the core version of the card

My Ysera card disappeared the day after Emerald Dream launched. I did not disenchant it. I did do a mass disenchant, and I verified that the dust was well below 400. Which would have been the dust value of that one card. I had that card for ages. Since Murlocs were a relevant meta, and I cannot find a place to open a ticket. Just Ysera, not Emarald Aspet, the dreamer, or unleashed. Ysera: At the end of your turn, get two random dream cards. Also, looking today, this card was moved to wild format instead of standard.

That’s because Ysera was in the 2024 Core set, but was removed for the 2025 set.

Do you know what the Core set is?

It is a large group of cards that Blizzard loans to everyone for free. These cards appear in your collection, and you can use them in your decks, but you do not own them. They are only on loan. You cannot craft nor disenchant them.

Also, cards do not stay in the set forever. Every year, Blizzard removes some cards and adds others, to keep the Core set fresh and interesting. This is what happened to Ysera.

You did not own Ysera. It was only on loan from Blizzard.
