So basically C’Thun doesn’t get his stats doubled by the effect or Lor’Themar.
I imagine its because of how C;thun’s stats are always a variable based off the other cards that specifically buff it? and it how would you resolve it exactly? if it was just its base stats doubled from early in the game before any other supporters played to buff it, then Id agree a simple 6/6 into a 12/12 would make sense. But then it gets a little hairy when you;ve gotten it to say a 22/22 and then you play the guy. should it be a 44/44? or should it ignore the other cthun only enchants and just give it a base double to let it start as a 12/12+ all your cthun only buffs so far? Idk. I dont think itd be a very fair solution to simply double whatever it is currently and thats all. I agree it should get something but there might be a reason it may be immune to it if it isnt just a bug?
I’m curious why you would base this judgement on some perceived notion of fairness, instead of asking did the cards behave correctly as written?
Im basing it on that it should do something, but how it behaves since it is cthun, and the way ctthun gets its buffs, isnt the same for all others, and thus Im exploring options that could be argued for. I can see someone argueing for that strict literal application, even tho I dont think it should be that simple. I personally would think it should double cthuns base form stats but not its buffed up form stats. other may vary in their opinion.
I have heard that in some cases, when a minion is buffed in your deck, the buff is not actually applied until the minion is drawn. So in that case, Lor’themar would only buff the base stats.
That would make sense if Lor’Themar didn’t double the stats of minions in deck who were buffed by other cards, which he does.
