Playing a burn shaman I get rocked, seems like they have never ending spells and dmg and I can’t even play minions or anything. What’s the angle here? Their hero power to 0 then non stop dragon bane shots cause how convenient all my minions once they hit it with hero power at down to 2 health… any tips?
Burn shaman runs a bunch of stall and board removal tools and takes longer to draw into its win condition. Your snowfall guardians and parrots are completely useless against quest hunter. Quest hunter reaches its win con much faster. Short of switching to a different deck you just have to accept that it’s a bad matchup and move on.
K perfect that’s what I assumed. Seems I’m having a lot of bad match ups today…. Control warrior, quest hunter…. Ugh.
You could try the new healing frost spell.
You could try the new healing frost spell.
That will just sacrifice win rate in other matchups though, and it probably won’t make any difference at all in the quest hunter matchup. Once the hunter finishes his quest he can easily put 15-20 damage into your face each turn for the rest of the game. You can’t outlast that as a shaman. Either you kill him or he kills you. Shaman doesn’t have the heal tools necessary to stall quest hunters insane burn. Very few classes do in fact. Armor warrior, deathrattle priest, and big druid are probably the only decks capable of stalling quest hunter via heals and armor. Any other deck needs to be the aggressor in this matchup, because the hunter has the inevitability.
There’s also the 3/4 harpy that gives you armor, I use that a lot in mage. Sometimes that gives you the one extra turn you need to assemble your combo. But I don’t play shaman, so I don’t really know how often 5 health/armor can make a difference.
I played a match yesterday where my opponent bloom-coined a wildpaw caverns on turn one and lost badly. I think trying to win through the board is probably doomed to fail, but if you can scrape together enough burn from hand to kill by turn six or so that might be the way to do it. Hunter’s biggest weakness here is they completely lack healing so every last bit of burn will stick to them.
Yea The only real possible chance is maybe double bloom turn 4 to hero bru’kan wnd hoping for the best.
Anyone who plays freeze shaman deserves to lose
Burn shaman is a tier 1 deck but very difficult to pilot according to vicious syndicate, so it’s normal you are having a hard time despite it being a great deck.
tips? just concede. Hunter is a class that makes me so mad. It hasnt been less than tier 2 in years.
Do you have any replays you can show me? I can give some specific advice. Otherwise I think you just need to pay more attention to the game state or adjust your deck to be more consistent and efficient.
