there are multiple ways blizzard gives temporary cards not only the Core rotation , so is easy to think some cards are missing … especially for players that go away for year and return back.
Like they unlocked some expansion to all for 1 month like the KotFT while waiting the release of the DK class , and than removed them on release.
Another example is what they call the New player experience , like the loaner decks , they changed this system multiple time so is hard to remember what happened and when but they changed from selecting one deck to play for free to play all decks for free and select one at the end.
This loaner recipes change during time , so a card missing today that make no sense , maybe was in a loaner deck recipe in the past.
edit: and here the forum users mostly play continuously so we don’t have access to this features , we just know they exists.
But like another post in this forum , customer support should know when you crafted/disenchanted a card if that happend , so mb try ask about specific cards you was sure you have.
yes I understand this. I originally thought that I had houndmaster shaw but I believe now it was part of the core set and rotated out. There is also something funny with some wild cards like my golden pyros and cabalist tome which do not show up unless I filter out uncraftable cards.
However, this is not the case for cards like C’thun, lock and load, jeklik, original tarim. I know I had these cards from packs or giveaways not from a loaner deck, not from the core set. have been playing since 2016 And am not shy to spending money on the game, I always have a decent amount of golden cards and random trash to dust if I need to.
so yes this was a wild ride, first I thought many were missing, then I found a few, then I realized a few rotated out, but a few I really believe just vanished. C’thun being the most obvious one, the others I mentioned, but also: Veranus, rat pack, crazed worshipper, book of specteres, blast wave, bright eyed scout, white eyes, maybe a few more.
Why did you initially think they were missing?
When I logged in I saw some decks I had were missing cards, decks I remembered playing last time i was on, that led to me searching through the collection and quickly realizing there’s more that I remembered having that are just gone. At first I was just browsing the collection with the “wild cards” filter, but it turns out if I do not filter out “uncraftable” cards, some cards just won’t populate in my collection like pyros. If I don’t filter out uncraftable and go look at pyros it says I don’t own one and prompts me to craft it.
But again, unticking uncraftables only makes SOME of the cards reappear. This does not make C’thun or lock and load reappear, or book of spectres which I believe is an adventure card, an adventure I bought.
So I log in, see incomplete decks that I remembered being complete, so I look through the collection, see a bunch are missing, I find some of those through filters, but the rest are still gone.
Lock and Load has another wrinkle – this card has THREE versions. The Grand Tournament set, the original Core 2021 set, and the Caverns of Time set.
Did you check in your collection for both the original and the Caverns of Time set?
whatever caverns of time is, it happened while i was away. I own exactly 5 cavern of times cards that are from a pack I bought yesterday. I just searched for lock and load in the collection manager, and I only got one hit, not three, weirdly it says it’s from the caverns of time. The one I had would have been from the grand tournament or the classic set, but these don’t show up even in the missing cards, it’s like they don’t exist anymore it’s only the caverns version now.
The filtering system is not always intuitive, and it sounds to me like you might be searching incorrectly. Screenshots of your searches would help identify if this was the issue

I read some of your old forum posts and you was involved in the Dustgate years ago , so is possible they did some collection reverts if you spent dust assigned by mistake , but in this case only developers can know what they did …
I would say “were impacted”, as were everyone. That’s something blizzard did themselves, I was just playing. And no, I remember that event very vividly and I remember which cards I crafted and they are still in my collection. Either way I think it’s unrelated to this missing cards issue.
My main suspect now is the caverns of time update. what was the point of reprinting the cards? It seems like something with the caverns of time update may have bugged out my collection. Many of the cards reprinted are those that I believe are missing: burnbristle, crazed worshipper, don hancho, lock and load, cthun,
Now I may have been just readjusting to the filters, but I could swear when I first logged on my collection manager was glitching! one of the decks I had made already and was flagged as missing cards was the oldschool miracle rogue with tomb pillagers, and it said I didn’t have tomb pillagers, I was like “no way that’s my favorite card”, and it just wouldn’t show up when I was looking for it, and then as I was realizing cards are missing some of them started populating again, like tomb pillager which now I have x2 of again. That’s a caverns card too. And for a brief second I thought I saw my C’thun again lol, it was colored in like it’s not missing but I can’t recreate it to save my life. Right now I look at the collection filtering only to see the old gods cards, and C’thun is not even there as missing, it’s like the expansion came out and C’thun was not a card that got released then lol
Tomb Pillager was Core and rotated out on 2023 , so is normal a old deck recipe keeps the core one marked as red like missing , because is now part or core reserve set that is not valid.
The old deck dont autocorrect itself replacing it , users should manually remove old core cards and put back an owned copy , the League of Explorers or the Cavern of Times if the own one.
So that part is normal.
the tomb pillager in the deck would have to had been the one I do own, from leauge of explorers, because at the time of making that deck - caverns did not come out yet and there was only one version of tomb pillager existing in the game, the one from LOE
