Location cards?

I restarted playing recently, Todays patch gave me a Special Event quest to play Location cards. I have no location cards, figured I would eventually get one from a pack. But now there’s apparently an event - but they won’t give me a location card so I can finish it?

The location cards are all rare, so you are almost guarenteed to get one just by opening enough packs

If you have some dust you can also just craft the one that was nerfed (warlock) and play it to finish the quest and then get a full refund during this refund window.

I’ve been playing for a while and got the same quest. I guess we just drop it for a new one.

You wont get a replacement, its a special one time quest that doesnt take up any of your dailys. If you are unwilling to do what FireSeal suggested, which is great advice, you have 2 weeks to get one and it doesnt take up a daily quest spot so there is really no reason to trash it.

I get what you mean, but it’s like the weekly quest than wanted you to do a quest. Sometimes they are too rare to keep.

literally just disenchant an epic you will never use, then craft a location

An epic you will never use? I dont understand the premise.

Disenchanting an epic gives you enough dust to craft a rare.

I know that already, what I didnt understand was the concept of an epic you would never use. Like wut?

i have every card in standard, i literally will never play priest unless its a tavern brawl, the epics are just banked dust just sitting pretty for use down the road

standard is such a limited card set tho, i cant imagine dusting every card of a class… call me old fashioned but i tend to collect the cards of a card game as I want all my options available to me because while a card may not see much use for now later on is a different story when it can be combo’d in a way no one could have foreseen.

well when you´re new as a f2p player you kinda have to to get at least a 2nd and 3rd deck started.

Also there´s a lot of people that don´t play certain classes i think.

I can understand new players playing standard as they have really only played the one class tutorial and unlocked the core set so standard would be the way to go and only playing 1 class makes sense as that would be the only cards of value they would have unlocked so far (fire blast/ flamestrike/ etc). But eventually you buy packs with gold or get them from tavern brawl. you wont be getting only the one class of cards so you;d save them all until you had enough for a 2nd deck from a different class you;d been playing, rinse repeat.

Going single class and using the core set and dusting anything not those 2 sounds like the worst way to play. If thats how they enjoy it so be it… I cant imagine playing the same class or really the same deck more than twice in a row.

just boggles my mind how limiting some people make the game for themselves.

The game is limiting, by design, to players that are not paying. Oftentimes, players will choose to dust everything but for one class because it’s the only way to be competitive. Most players aren’t willing to play a suboptimal deck for God knows how long before they can actually compete. This can take several months, a year, more? People want fun now, not struggle for ages until they can put together an optimal deck.

It’s easy to understand where they’re coming from.

oh competitive, i forget thats a thing. it doesnt cross my mind that people value neener neener value lol. I wouldnt mind something that would let you put in the card you own and compare that to a list of known competitive decks and gave you something you didnt need to dust anything or craft anything for only. as in it finds a netdeck comprised only of your collected cards if any existed ever.

Ive played since launch and I suppose Ive always played with a sub optimal deck as Ive never wanted to be competitive in any way. I just want to play others and have either epic showdowns that are super close calls, or silly unforseeable unpredictable chaos that leaves both of us going “what was that?” every turn.

I remember when you could bank on everyone having the owl to silence a minion, the ooze to break a weapon, and a 1/3 that draws a card when it takes damage. No matter what deck or class was being played. I still use them in a couple of my decks. lol

I don’t dust anything not extra, but in the end I always play the same classes.
Over the years I probably played every class, but even with all the base cards, if I am unwilling to craft important legendaries I just don’t play the deck.

Take druid for example: I can’t justify crafting epics and legendaries just to play it, when I prefer to play other 4 classes. But I would like to play it because of guff.

Thanks to RNG I manage to get legendaries from classes that I like (rogue, warlock, mage and hunter ); but whenever I find a garbage class legendary (DH, warrior, priest, druid), the temptation to just dust it is there.
The problem I have with warrior, priest and druid is that their decks always relies on legendaries and epics: you can’t replace them with a budget version.
DH is just a personal hate.

Oh shaman, I also like it, but I don’t like murlocs and totem, so it’s in a weird spot

Don’t hate classes. Demon hunter is freaking awesome! People just have PTSD from when it was initially released and overpowered. Fortunately for you, the class is currently unplayable.

if i craft any cards it isnt a class card, i want all my decks to use it to their advantage. Like I did with Bakku and the C’thuns. Also DH Baku deck is one of my best winning streak decks for ranked wild. so much fun. i only wish i could use both cthun the 4 spells version and baku in the same deck. DH is severly lacking in board clearing for a Bakku deck. it has some but not as many as most.

back to locations. uh. they are places
