For one week following the launch of Patch 27.4, Anomalies will appear in 100% of Standard, Wild, Twist, Casual, Arena, and Practice Mode games. After that one-week period, they will appear in 25% of games until Patch 28.0.

Well…this is really going to make some classes really, really broken.

Wow. They really went all in on completely ending their game.

Glad I got my ranked stuff done today. I won’t be playing at all.

I love how most of these anomalies are just designed to make Rogue broken.

With so many mana cheating things going on here, the classes that benefit the most from mana cheat should just see a massive uptick in power.

Was hoping these would be quirky, small effects. Nope. These are insane, depending on the matchup.

Control Priest with Twist Reality, I’ll just concede. Actually, I’ll probably be conceding a ton of games just to escape the RNG if it isn’t in my favor.

Quality competitive mode, for sure.

not sure 25% to activate then there are 22 possible anomalies doesnt feel like you ll be able to get that much consistency

But it’s 100% for the first week. That’s where it will be spicy.

Come on guys. At least this will be fun. They could have made it it’s own mode though really for people that want to play super competitively I guess.

arent most poeple who are competive at thei highest ranks around this time of the month?

Yes, but they will still be playing for top legend won’t they? It’s not like they get high ranks and stop.

They are incredibly out of touch. I don’t know whether to be confused or not surprised.

Tavern Brawl exists for stuff like this.

Constructed Standard is about as serious a tavern brawl these days.

To be honest, I don’t think there’s any problem with this being a week-long event and then just being tied to a pretty bad card. It’s the month and a half or so-long 25% chance part which I found ludicrous about this whole thing.

This anomaly thing literally makes me afraid to play ranked. They are alienating so much of their player base with this crap because we don’t want to lose to some random bs anomaly. Especially with people in high legend this sentiment holds even more true. I would rather just have the 25% for one week then get rid of it.

So we are becoming BG’s now. Any part that was still considered ‘competitive’ regarding Standard is gone by tomorrow.

Very disappointing and i don’t think my annoyance is unjust because 1 week with them would be enough. Forcing us to play Standard for a month at least with them is ridiculous. I’m very skeptical about playing Standard starting tomorrow.

I don’t like this.

Standard should have hard-set rules. It should not host events. for that you make a new mode. what if people want to play standard and not be forced to play rng deluxe? Throw out the little balance they kept for 2 weeks, naa that’s bad.

did they force this on standard cuz noone plays tavern?

Whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa whoa.

No. Bad brawler. That’s a bad word. We don’t use the f word here.

This what I thought twist was going to be. Different card sets coupled with some temporary new rules.

That would have been cool, if the new rules were small changes (like draw a card you have the mana for, at most).

This seems…bad

I’m just glad they’ve had the balls to try something different and new, Ranked Standard probably isn’t the place for it, but let’s see where it leads.
