I tried to make out something of the new Librams but seems just too slow to be competitive. Need to put old Libram mana cost reducer cards into the core, or decrease the mana cost of the new Librams in my opinion. Maybe I will try it out in Wild.
it is OP as heck in wild so have fun there I guess. or at least i just got my rear handed to me by someone playing it.
I think the 4 mana divine shield need to be buff skip turn 4 for a 4 mana 4/2 that do nothing feel super bad each time i am playing this card i speak to myself how the heck a 4 mana card can be this bad it died to 1 mana minion everytime. I also find success in running deputization aura the lifesteal + big stats from libram save my life so many time. Sanc azel is also super strong i can easily build up 20+ attack sand castle and force enemy to kill all of my minion otherwise they will die
Thanks, but I don’t want to be OP… never wanted… I just want to be competitive and have chance to win enough.
If you mean you homebrewed I’m not sure that’s the most optimal way, but the stats don’t show it being great indeed.
Check this variant which the stats appear to show positive win rate (barely and questionably):

It is optimal enough for me, I have more than 9000 Paladin wins and created more than 500 decks already. I just figured out something that can still help me, but this is the last try for me to make new Librams work effectively enough to play it. in standard.
That doesn’t mean you made the best deck.
Honestly just make the Sword a 3/2. That alone would go a long, long ways.
My 2 cents
Librams are a mid-late game tool (but not too late, raw stats need to win by hitting face, but if you take too long other win cons may do things like OTK from hand regardless of stats).
So pallies need something else to survive the early game while they get their discounts and draw their librams.
This is true back then as it is now.
The change to attendent helped it a bit in early game, but there were also strong early drops like good two shields released in the expansion after librams and that’s when libram and eventually libroom pally (pen flinger was also from that second expansion) really took off.
So what libram pally needs should be an early game that can contest what’s in the field. Off the top of my head I don’t think new expansion has many new options.
Just break the weapon with another weapon.
It makes the deck faster.
As for the early you use the Basic stuff that was used pre expansion.
Yes, I am already doing that… Whack a gnoll is a great help. But still not seems enough… Anyway… I have one last idea to make it work poperly… will try it out.
I tried that, but honestly it’s not a good idea to run that many weapons in this deck, it will mess up what you get from Instrument Tuner.
I’m running with lynessa and replay guy, the cheese guy also works with lynessa and the discounted libras could also work with her. The problem is, that I’m dead on turn 5.
Big spell mage played the water elemental stuff faster then I could do my divine shield guys.
The problem with this, that everybody cheats mana nowdays and paladin does it again the honest slow way.
4 mana 4/2 do nothing not helping either. At least make it end of turn or life steel or something.
Velen also a big bummer. I run it because I really trying to make it work but I think velen is a warrior card only so far.
I’m not sure I’d call it “honest,” the deck will destroy everything late game because of the infinite stat cheating librams provide.
It’s too slow to be competitive right now, but I’m not sure you want what it does to be faster than it is.
Do you have a list ? I’ll give it a shot
Some choices like tech instructor aren’t helping too.
Provided the weapon isn’t that good there is no reason to tutor it.
It is a lesson BSM players learned the hard way.
Messing up what? 2 weapons… the other ones are not weapons when draw it… they are spells.
Not gonna lie.
Try to get libram discount as fast as possible is probably the error.
Instructor tech is a terrible card in more than a single way so when you play it you also lose the board.
One good example people could try is Sea chill. By discounting a libram by 2 you stop needing so much stuff the weapon and the infinite combo Will not matter so much in fast matches anyway.
So maybe players should look in getting some librams costing 0 instead of trying a race to discount everything to 0.
every list Ive seen runs either Sea Shill or Holy Cowboy already. It’s still vitally important to get the discounts in as early as possible man.
I would be careful responding to them. They tend to downplay everything you do or say.
But as a side note I agree, especially with Quasar Rogue/Meteor Shaman/Ele Mage being too quick. The 4 mana cost card should be 3 imo. Maybe lower the stats to 3/1 and give it rush maybe?
I created my deck with emphasis on Draeneis so the 2 mana one that gives your next draenei +2 health and rush helps immensely on capitalizing value. I also have been running the Dance Floor location (1 copy) and it helps with the 6 cost libram that gives 3/3 divine shield minions or any other minions that do not have rush.
I think the biggest issue is the slowness behind it, it takes a bit of time to reduce the costs especially the 6 cost one in the current environment. If no buffs are given, I am hoping set rotation actually helps as the power level dips back down again with Titans/Showdown being removed.
