Level 6 drop recruited by level 2 Hero

Greetings! I would like to receive an explanation as to how the following could have happened.
A level-2 hero in Hearthstone Battlegrounds was able to recruit a level 6 Beast. As I know, there is no way to discover a Beast or get a random one in the Battlegrounds, and there is no way for a level 2 charachter to recruit anything beyond level 3.
Should screenshots be required I would be happy to provide them.

Shifter Zerus can be picked up early to get high level minions.
