Honestly, I don’t know if it needs a nerf but since so many people are talking about it I figured let’s start a discussion.
This is the only reasonable nerf I can come up with.
Also, hunters have other decks yet to be discovered known/popular that are really good. In fact, I met someone today that just hit legend with a really good beast deck.
First, they could nerf mana cost to 2-3 on demon companion and then buff the charge minion to 2/2 along with the buff minion (something along those lines). 2nd, and most important probably just HOF Scavengers Ingenuity. That would stop Worpertinger from being a 1 cost 2x 3/3 minion.
Honestly the best version of the deck does not even run animal companion. It runs the Imprisoned felmaw instead.
What’s the reason for removing the beast tag on phase stalker other than stopping the kill command combo?
Honestly maybe nerf the felmaw to 4/4 is another option. The huffer is a high roll rng. I think it’s fair. They could make the spell cost 4 mana maybe?
You asking for a nerf because your paladin deck has a lower winrate compared to other classes against hunter.
maybe adjust your paladin deck to have a better early start to deal with them ifyou encounter them more often.
If i encounter a aggro play style with my healing priest well then the match is already greatly decided in the outcome.
Hunter is fine as it is to accomondate a fast match and hunter was always the class for this play style.

Do you realize I mained hunter for the first 3 years of me playing this game. I have played hunter more than any other class. My first golden hero and I have over 6000+ games on it.
No, I hardly play paladin. I was just trying it again. I have top tier decks for all classes but mage and shaman. I play Demon hunter, hunter, priest warrior and rogue(wild) more than anything else these days. I hop on paladin to switch it up.
If Demon hunter had the win rate of hunter right now the whole community would be screaming for nerfs again. In-fact the last 2-3 rounds of nerf for DH had the same win rate hunter has now lol. It actually had a lower win rate in legend.
You did, but you saw it as a problem as soon as you played the paladin deck.

Hunter is just a deck that isnt causing issues compared to other classes.
Hearthstone is a simple game and it shows it flaws when certain playstyles are matched.
Control → aggro
Aggro → midrange
Midrange → control
and ofcourse the OTK shenanigans.
Each expansion the same rock paper sciccors rules apply here to some extend and has been around since ever because thats how the game was designed.
I didn’t see it as a problem. I said its higher than HSreplay states in its win rate vs the deck. Well that’s what I was trying to say. I was saying paladin is not a hard counter as people have been claiming on the forms. I was trying to state it CAN counter Paladin.
A hard counter defines as something that will always win against something no matter what.
I believe the match is about 50/50
In my opinion the most unfun decks to play against right now is mage and the new hunter deck. I honestly dislike the deck because it makes other hunter decks invalid and its making the meta stale.
It doesn’t need a nerf, and it has some very bad matchups that aren’t uncommon. Warrior, paladin, and soul shard demon hunter all do a damn good job of hard countering it. Tempo mage is also surprisingly decent because of how well it holds the early board and then dumps stats with jandice and giants. It also struggles against druid and other “big” decks. It’s simply strong and nothing more. There’s no need to change it.
Well the only problem I have with that statement is the fact that Demon hunter had a lower win rate in legend and people were still begging for a nerf. After the first 2 nerfs his win rate in legend was around 53%-54% get had I believe around 2-3 more nerfs after.

Face hunter is just That consistent, the nerfs required, IF at all - is something to hurt its consistency. Shooter to 1/2 kills the card as it’d be too easy to remove. Demon companion is MUCH better than animal, third the cost and Same abilities for half the stats. Nerfing it to 2 would kill it. Intrepid issue is the coin, +1 instead of +2 makes blazing strictly better, so maybe while making it 1/3, a +1 makes sense.
Ingenuity 2nd nerf would be to +2/+1, which is good - making wolpers 3/2, phaser to 4/4. The other (former) two in gryphon as 6/2 and zixor at 4/5.
Frankly, six weeks ago I thought Reader would be The issue, but it’s really not. So they draw a few cards, by the time it drops it doesn’t matter if it’s 3 cost, a 1/1, or a one-time ability.
Now, let’s say 1-2 nerfs are done, it shoukd drag other nerfs, but with how blizz do it, we’d get nerfs end of November, and then they’d bust face hunter again in December’s release.
TL;DR - two nerfs I think may be appropriate - intrepid to +1 as a 1/3 , ingenuity to +2/+1, but otherwise it’s just a consistent deck.
That’s the issue. There’s no way to nerf Battlemage without making it unplayable - it would be reasonable for Initiate to instead gain +1/+1 or maybe +0/+2.
