LETHAL QUIZ: CAN YOU SOLVE IT? (Only 3% of players)

h ttps://imgur.com/a/KzxKsDB

If its hard to see the opponent has 27hp i have 7 mana and a 3 attack weapon. Now use my cards for lethal!

Now that i think about it, hes near full health and its just on turn 7 so a lethal from hand is just belligerent. Rogue hasn’t felt this good since gadgetzan stealth edwin. The protoss rogue they play in china is sooooo clean its so nice to pilot.

Expect a nerf soon unfortunately. Its not op or anything, it’s just rogue.

I didnt take a pic in real time so it looks a bit weird in the hdt app. This is the one in a million combo that this deck is built on. I have like 300 games with it and this is the first time it has happened.

was it too easy, well done!

It wasnt difficult, I’ll put it that way.

sorry for asking wow

This was not a particularly hard lethal to find, it’s kind of exactly what the deck is trying to do.

7 damage on board
Sonya (4 Mana)
Scoundrel (1 Mana)
Templar (1 Mana, 2 damage)
Templar (0 Mana, 2 damage, makes archon for 8 damage)
Scoundrel (0 Mana)
Templar (1 Mana, 2 damage)
Templar (0 Mana, 2 damage, makes archon for 8 damage)

Total damage: 31
Total Mana cost: 7

Alternatively you could instead use the cover artist instead of the 2nd high Templar and you’d deal a total of 35 damage.

If you had 1 more Mana and a shadow step you could have dealt 47.

amen beautiful breakdown. it was nice to finally have the exodia combo

The OP thinks they discovered the deep secrets of life when it’s a typical situation and a minimal highrolling with templars. First time playing that deck?

I’m more interested in what’s going on with “china” in that rumbling. How do they know what they play in “china”, and what is it that they play?

Please delete that space between h and ttps! You don’t need it while it’s wrapped

I’m sorry I missed this puzzle, I’ve been thinking about creating my own for weeks

I absolutely enjoy finding lethals and pride myself in missing 1-2 per year, tops, and I also tend to play decks which usually require solving a puzzle as a means of getting lethal (sludgelock comes to mind first, weapon rogue…)

However, my PC is too slow, my monitor is too bad so replays look terrible to me (and hurt my eyes), and some of the lethal puzzles wouldn’t really be 100% lethal puzzles as much as optimal play puzzles, because not every difficult and fun lethal is guaranteed

With that said, I hope others like this and follow your way

hows the new account cuddles?

If that’s cuddles, he certainly fooled me

ez mini sandbox (1 mana) big sandbox (2 mana, 3 total) sonya (1 mana, 4 total) mini sandbox (1 mana, 5 total) templar (1 mana 6 total) templar (0 mana 6 total) mini sandbox (0 mana 6 total) copy (1 mana 7 total)
attack face with big sandbox,

i played way too many cycle rogue it just occurs naturally

2 templars means 4 damage, 2 archons 16 damage + 4 damage 4 attack face lethal

tbh it’s not that hard to figure this kind of lethal since you already has all the cards in board and hands, the one that are the hardest are the yolo lethal where you have to depends on card draw to deliver lethal (not tutor though since tutors are reliable),

i know i am just a casual player but my instinct whenever i play this kind of rogue decks with sonya and sandbox i will always try to get the most tempo with 1 mana sonya, the lethal will just happen naturally without even thinking,
I did play tons of grixis/ izzet combo or burn in mtg so that might explains my tendencies to play instinctively depending on tempo/card draws.
well im a dumpster legend players so that might be the reason why i am not high legend

well hearthstone is not a high risk activity unlike my job so i can definitely do that impulsive pop off turns without even thinking

Yeah, I had that kind of a relationship with sludgelock xD Sometimes I’d surprise myself with how fast I find a complex lethal (especially those lethals which are surrounded by multiple lines of play which usually work better, but not in this situation, as they don’t lead to lethal - those should, at least in theory, be much less obvious)

It’s fascinating what levels of mastery over specific tasks our brains can achieve

yea tbh i can’t play any warlock decks save for the classic zoo and handlock, warlock is the hardest out of the most classes for me to figure it out, i was never a black player as well in mtg

Now that you said that, it immediately became clear to me - you’re right-side of the brain dominant (abstraction, spatial intelligence, probably more practical/less theoretical, intuitive rather than analytical, possibly good at painting/sculpting/music), and I’m left, which means we’re exactly opposite xD

And so I went to fish for clues in your posts, and found this:

Literally proves the point xD I’m very bad at those types of decks compared to aggro and tempo, even if I sometimes enjoy playing control more - that’s what usually causes me to visit the rest of forum folks in dumpster legend

I think we should organize and profit from this

We can literally pick different decks to try, and whichever one isn’t working for us, will probably be great for the other

Let’s go to top 10!

yeah i do work in engineering field but when it comes to analytical problem of fixing process and finding the root causes i am way behind my peers but when designing and mitigating stuff they usually assign me for the task. i do spend my idle times painting or composing riffs with my guitar.

i dont think im good enough for top 10, top 500 is enough for me kekw

Yeah, I was thinking about using that word, engineering, but wasn’t sure if that would be an overgeneralization from experience, since I suck at it, but I know people who are left-side dominant who don’t suck at it

Turns out the description I used made you think of engineering anyway, which is a good sign xD

Yep, yep, all according to neuroscience

I actually think this theory might work great for us

Nonsense. Let’s just test this out next time meta opens up, and I guarantee you both of us will have advantage over the field because we will know which deck best suits us 50% faster than others.

nah man modern hearthstone is frustrating i wasn’t able to play more than 5 hours and still keeping my sanity in check, tbh i’d rather play other games but the time being spend for other games like dota 2 or lol is not even worth it
