Legitimate inquiry: Why Didn't Mage,Hunter or Paladin Get a Galakrond?

Disregard topic… i forgot there was a storyline to follow which myself and many others don’t care to follow

Only the classes with “EVIL” members got a galakrond.

Ah right I forgot that. I didn’t even pay attention to the story… just blew right by it

The reason it’s difficult to remember for a lot of folks is because the cards LoE got were so unremarkable and niche counters to Galakrond, that they are easily forgettable.

Thank effin’ god they did not.

“Explorers” classes got dragons discovering other dragons for the sake of balance.

They also got the highlander cards in SoU, with Zeph and DQA being pretty much unofficial Mage and Hunter cards considering the success of highlander deck in those classes, and they for the most part seem to have gotten the better end of things when it comes to the Dragon Legendaries from DoD.

Don’t know about the others but in place of Lackeys and Galakrond those classes get Highlander and dragon explorer cards. Naturally the Paladin verson of both cards is pretty trash, fitting their theme of never having good synergies.

I mean, I’d call Finley good, it’s just that paladin is so bad that you don’t have enough good cards to string together into a Highlander deck.

“Good” doesn’t really cut it compared to Bran and Reno. It’s just so great that in the slot where they crammed obscene power levels you get a card that looks… nice. Maybe. If you got it on curve.

Who knows, maybe Highlander Murloc Paladin will become the best deck one day, because they get some sort of obscene Murloc support that can fit into a highlander deck.

I wish Priest had received a Highlander Legendary, since Highlander Priest has been performing better than any other Priest deck this expansion. Without having any such support made for it.

I would say that Priest and Hunter should switch places on team Good and Evil, but then we’d have a Hunter Galakrond which sounds horrifying.

Highlander Hunter is a top 10 deck and received no nerf. I think they did fine by Hunter. Paladin could probably use a Galakrond, but I guess Warlock stole their upgraded hero power.

Yeah, but hunter sounds more Evil then Priest, except in the case of Old God worship, which is admittedly the case with the Priest.

But on the topic of Paladin Galakrond, what would it even do?

Good question. I was just taking a very Anti-Hearthstone approach and trying to balance around balance rather than balancing around lore.

it was too much work for the hs devs

We all know it would summon murlocs.

Fitting. It supports a weirdly common Paladin archetype AND it’s a weak effect! Unless that’s the HP.

Same reason why Pally, Mage, Hunter, and Druid did not get much in Lackey support.
