After releasing demon Hunter class i had enough. Some month ago i left HS to find another game. I used to break from hs before even for over half a year. There are other good card games like shadowverse or elder scrolls. But with each rotation i have hs another try. This time i doubt this happens. LoR has Just better mechanics. IT simply is better game in almost every field. Time will Tell. For now blizzard, you need to do better game to compete. Maybe hearthstone 2. Because i understand that game released six years ago has its limitations. Take care. Thanks for good time you provided me. But now my money Goes to riot games

I liked Lor until the new expansion came out then lost a bit of interest.
Found it hard to get cards after playing for a few weeks, leveling up got very slow.

The reason people post about other card games is to so blizzard see that people are leaving because of their game. Me too, I want to LOR because of the current problems now.
More than normal rng does not make a card game fun, but less over time.

Hearthstone gave me alot of good memories and i’m not adverse to trying it again if they get their crap together.
Legends of Runeterra is the doing the right stuff right now though and there’s no reason not to enjoy it

Hi again. My post is directed mainly at blizzard but i am glad other People read and contribute. I believe that blizz reads this forum afterall. Sure they dont care about me, Just one guy even paying one. But i am sure right now more and more PPL quit hs. This game is not in good state.
Just wanted to expand why i got in love in LoR. So blizz can get a hint how to improve their stuff.

Riot is super generous. Even more than in league of legends. They clearly want to sell mainly cosmetics for cash. After one month of moderate gaming i have So many cards already.

This one is my personal favourite. Their seasons last several months So i can really get to my appropriate rank and enjoy IT for a while. I never got legend in hs because IT requires too much grind. One month is not enough for a guy with 4 kids

Riot announced they will make balance patches every month. In addition they will heavily listen to community about change suggestions. They encourage PPL to write on reddit about IT.

They want every card and champion to be playable. Unlike blizz that makes shtty filler cards and Some superior ones in expansion So PPL must spend money.

Finally Maybe the biggest one. Player can react to every card opponent plays. Much more strategic depth and outsmarting opponent.

Hearthstone is more successful than other games. Maybe Hearthstone is right? 
it’s not more successful then games like MTG or yu gi oh. an aside from those there are not many card games and even less successful ones. the genre is pretty niche.

The new games, such as Runeterra, are always F2P friendly and less power creep.
MTG and YuGiOh are well established physical card games.
However these physical cards are expensive, but you can try the digital version for free. So why not?
It is not like these games are cheap version of Hearthstone clone.
In fact, Hearthstone is simplified version.
“You need a better game to compete” buddy HS is #1 for a reason… its the only cardgame that looks better than the tabletop version

Haha number 4 is particularly true and most of the cards don’t see play, and blizzard don’t intend to make them see play. I just opened up Tak Nozwhisker, just like so many other legendaries I’ve opened such as Darkfisher, that it’s just disappointing. Even though HS has many more cards, in reality, most of them are just dust.
every card game has cards that aren’t good. every card cannot all be playable - there have to be some bad cards that will not see play. if there is no bad, how can there be good and vice versa; weak cards are a fundamental part of the game.

That is exactly the concept blizzard said which I don’t understand.
They just have to tweak it a bit. Make bad cards cost one less mana, give it one more Attack etc. Not overhaul, but slight changes to make it a bit more playable.
Why even print cards that no one plays, or disappointed to see them in packs? And if they see no play then how does it even matter if they are in the game or not. The game might as well just contain the 30% of the cards that everyone uses in their decks.
I think blizz is starting to buff some cards now though. Very slightly but step in the right direction.

I can’t post links because this forum is stupid and won’t let me so i have to post a little quote from mark rosewater. use a search engine (i like duckduckgo) and search “why do bad cards exist”. click on the result “WHEN CARDS GO BAD” on the Magic: The Gathering site for the entire article. it’s a fantastic read and gave me a lot of insight into card games in general. i’ve been playing CCGs/TCGs since '96.
That in a mutant-sized nutshell is why we make “bad cards." To recap (or to fill in for those unwilling to read the long version):
- By definition, some bad cards have to exist. (The most important reason.)
- Some cards are “bad” because they aren’t meant for you.
- Some cards are “bad” because they’re designed for a less advanced player.
- Some cards are “bad” because the right deck for them doesn’t exist yet.
- “Bad” cards reward the more skilled player.
- Some players enjoy discovering good “bad” cards.
- Some “bad” cards are simply R&D goofing up.

The original designer, Ben Brode, tried to “tweak” as little as possible.
It is just recently, Blizzard makes change often.
Changing too many cards would cause confusing.
The physical cards cannot be changed, just banned.
