$39.99 you can buy 3 triple AAA titles from when this game was released, and maybe 2-3 smaller indie games on steam.
Not sure what games you are talking about, AAA triples are usually 59.99 ++

I said 3 triple AAA games from when this game was released, game was released in 2014, there are plenty of games from 2015-2020 that are still good that had retail price at 59.99 that are now $5-$10, even lower during sales.
Also you can buy in-game currency to trade for game product codes from other Steam users, which is significantly cheaper than buying from the store.

Same thing happened to me bro, i was given a 4 day window to buy it and missed my chance. There was no ‘limited time’ tag on it, so i didn’t rush to buy it. really annoying. i got a similar non-answer response from blizzard support.
if people don’t think it is a rip off its not apparently. they should say 80000000000% then people wont feel ripped off. also blizzard doesn’t do manipulation. everything is above board.

Most of us already have every card. I have 172 Standard Packs and 2 Golden Standard Packs, just waiting for a good time to open them.
Why don’t you GTF out of California, and cut cost that way, vs charging us more and more for nothing. Move to Kansas, I pay $750 for 1,550 sqft 3 bd 2 full bath, in a nice neighborhood, 25 minutes from a major city. I know I’m getting one hell of a deal, but still. What’s the rent in OJ county, $3,500+? Four Blizzard employees living together pay more than I do.
I truly regret how much money I’ve spent on this game. I could have spent that money on high quality games and books thay actually would have taught me something. I used to cope thinking that hearthstone stimulated some parts of my brain when I had to make “decisions”. Laughable, this game is designed around addiction.
This might not be regular inflation in the sense of the general market in the outside world having inflation.
This might be taking advantage of veterans of a game who are fixated to buying everything that is out.
I think I see the same in WoW; many remaining players are veterans; it probably hurts the long term.
