Legend Players at Bottom

Trying to win a few matches at the bottom of bronze. Facing people with legend cardbacks. Completely unfair.

I have NEVER hit legend. Not once. In years of playing. But matchmaking forces me to play against god-tier players?!

A single line of code could prevent this from ever happening. DO NOT MATCH STRUGGLING PLAYERS AGAINST THE BEST IN THE WORLD. I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO SAY THIS.

It doesn’t match by rank: it matches by MMR. That means you probably play little but you win more than them on average; that makes you a better player than you think; enjoy that.

I have also the conspiracy theory that if they rig they rig the MMR of the opponent (third parties can’t disprove it) but I doubt it’s actually happening.

You can reach legend so easy this days that theres record numbers of players on it.
Its actually possible to do poorly on a climb and still reach it, its not that you are playing better players than you.

You are just playing horrible players that wasted insane amounts of time to reach Legend.
People on your level with too much time on their hands.

If you don’t like competing against Olympic level swimmers, don’t jump into the pool with them during the opening ceremony.

You have 4 weeks. Try playing NOT during reset weekend.

Legendary card back means nothing… it is just showing that the player reached Legendary atleast once since the game exists… 10 years… it doesn’t mean you are facing Legendary players… there are always some broken unfair decks which help even noobs to reach Legend easy… less and less brain needs for certain strategies… skills means not much nowdays because RNG wins the match… it controls too many things now and there are too many unfair hidden mechanics in the game which can be abused also too easy.

Only God-tier if we’re counting Jeff, God of Biscuits.

Calling Legend players the best players in the world is like calling people with bachelor’s degrees the most educated people in the world. I mean, okay, they’re better than average, but they’re not really all that special.

maybe only those who are reaching Legend with their own decks, and not meta which can be used by anyone.

some people may have earn the legend card back by reaching legend once 6 years ago and be a gold players since, by lack of time, investment or interest in modern hearthstone.

don’t get thrown off by their card back, play your game, make the best play you can think off. At the end of the month, you will get close to 50% win rate, plus or minus 5% probably

No, they are better than me. Will always be better than me. I’ve dealt with this for YEARS.

Hearthstone FORCES me to go against people x100 times better than my maximum skill. Why can no one understand THAT ISN’T FAIR?!!?!??!?!

My man!

This is true, though xD It’s reset time this early in the month where you get matched against better players if you won a few games and they just started their grind

I know that you strongly agree with what I said here.

I think this is because of the new matching, which I like.
It’s based on mmr alone, I believe, which is way more fair than the dumb star thing was.

Wait till the last week of the month and you can coast into Legend if that’s your goal.

Matched by MMR it doesn’t really make any difference.

Statistically it’s still the best time. The “best” of his MMR should have already moved on by that point and they will be left with much easier opponents to play against.

I hate to break it to you, but the typical long time player’s mmr doesn’t move much in a month.

Most people are playing the same bracket all month long and time of the month is no longer relevant when you can match someone at any rank at any time, bonus stars or not.

Only the very top and very bottom get away from their starting mmr points.

How reliable is this? It seems more like a gimmick and a wives tale than repeatable.

Sunk cost fallacy. New month, fresh start. Nothing you did prior to this month counts beyond your resource accumulation and bonus stars granted from prior rank. And honestly, if you can’t reach legend after 10 straight years of resource gains, maybe you’re just not good enough, straight up.

That’s not an insult, it’s a literal fact if you’re being literal and honest. If you can’t attain legend in hearthstone after ten solid years of trying legitimately, every single month, you should probably stop trying. Find something that brings you happiness.
