Tell me how to get the motivation to go legend again. I go to d5 and then instantly get bored; I go do BGs and Achievements; I’m thinking of the grind and get disgusted.
I guess I care way too much about the awards and they are approximately the same; or I should get the XP from most achievements first; I’m behind and they help at F2P.

Why would that be what someone can do. I am building stuff I find interesting to play but it’s to no avail since everyone is simp’s for the meta.
Sure. it’s not like I’m going to find it impossible. I just think those mini grinds will give at best 1 pack and then I’ll just stop again at low Legend; perhaps it bothers me too much that I can still collect XP from achievements for my F2P optimization; if I run out of those then it might be clearer there’s no much point not getting at least the 1 pack.

Though, I’m surprised, you’ve been clearly playing a while, and getting D5-legend should really be a numbers game. Even with a 50% winrate you should get there roughly once every 1 to 2 months if you play enough games.

- winrate is well below 50%?

Since I said the above without proof, I thought I’d elaborate a little.
Since the D5 → legend is easily provable, its more interesting to consider when there are no barriers (such as legend or D5).
A random walk in one dimension (i.e. 50% to go left or right, imagine rank 1 legend at far left, rank infinity legend at far right), has average distance (from zero) K * sqrt(2*N/pi) after N games, where K is the factor that roughly converts a win/loss into rating change, lets assume its about 100. The above statement can be made more exact + proven, I’ll leave that as an excercise.
What’s interesting to note is that K obviously changes as you approach top 100, and also just maintaining 50% win-rate near top 100 gives you very good chances to get to top 10 quite quickly.

GZ, I managed to reach it too yesterday with my own deck, I am thankful for the Tsunami mages because managed to beat most of them… however my last opponent was a pirate Shaman and I had to face many other kinds of decks too before hit Legend ofc… it was not easy… but it was worth it! 3rd time Legend in total for me. 2 times with my own not meta deck.

Of course they would go Legend with a bad win rate if they played 24/7, but they didn’t play 24/7 and that makes it a better achievement.
One of the most ridiculous things in this forum is seeing egotists who play for 8 hours a day bullying people for not going legend.
