so i just payed$15 bucks to have my leeroy jenkins hero i was happy and excited finally the hero i asked for then its like eating a sandwich and theres no cheese on it like whyyyy couldnt you get the voice of the real player and whyyyy couldnt you use his voice lines like “times up lets do this” or leeroy jenkins!!! with his actual voice or atleast i have chicken like come on guys your a bug company such a good hero and meme and you couldnt do it right i feel bummed by this mistake i love the portrait and the card back but dang not his voice nooooooooooi please please fix this

Paragraphs and punctuation might have helped getting your point across better, but I agree that Leeroy’s voice doesn’t sound right.

Because Leeroy Jenkins was the character of an actual person, and thus not a voice actor. Also, he’s, what, twenty years older? As for using the original footage, the sound quality isn’t that great compared to things today. The only real option they had was getting something that was close enough, because the real thing is simply impossible.
Blast. Some internet searching yielded that apparently there’s been a falling out (and a lawsuit) between Blizzard and the original Leeroy (Ben Schulz).
This explains why they dedn’t get him to voice the hero skin the way they did the minion.
Having said that, it’s only a couple dozen lines, you’d expect a professional voice actor to be able to get closer to the original voice.

The voice is one thing, but it’s even more damning that they didn’t use multiple iconic lines despite obvious applications to the game. Huge miss and it reeks of laziness and cash grab.
