Lady Anaconda Prediction

My guess…

Lady Anaconda will summon two snakes when she comes into play (stats unknown). The snakes will have Deathrattles that when they die they summon either cards from the Druid’s hand (like Giant Anaconda did) or they spawn beasts of some sort. This seems very much like the kind of card they would give to Druids to try and improve either Taunt or Beast Druid decks. Just a guess.

That almost sounds like a good card.

The cards they summon from hand will probably have to be 0 mana or less for this to be a Druid card. Druid’s class identity is ramping and/or cheating mana REALLY hard, token decks, or objectively bad cards.

Sure seems that way. “We see the Druid class identity as being the opposite of Demon Hunters. We give Druids a pile of really bad cards and somehow that makes them good.”

I would love to play a Taunt Druid. It was the first deck I wanted to play, but I was really disappointed with the support. It feels like it’s so close to being completed though. I do have a very interesting version that works with Menagerie.

I tried Menagerie Taunt Druid and it seemed to be less consistent than the Greybough version but none of them were particularly good.

I did something a little unorthodox. I was using the +1+3 give taunt spell and then playing the get copies of X if it has taunt…but I was casting that on Moonfang. It turns out, it’s pretty busted…and hilarious.

It’s great when it goes off but in ranked standard at least couldn’t currently recommend it as a viable deck since just found it way too slow to be effective, waiting for all the pieces to fall into place. Also found it highly vulnerable to devolving missiles and to all forms of removal - against warlock it had pretty much a 100% loss rate. Ultimately had to write the deck off as a failure and just went back to one which flowed more naturally, namely token druid.

I’ve ben playing a menagerie taunt druid to try to complete the Plaguemaw achievement and have been enjoying it even though I’m about 50/50 with it. I might try subbing in Moonfang and trying this because it does sound awesome.

Yeah, it’s about 50/50 for me as well. I think the +1+3 give taunt spell has been pretty key for me, and the get a copy spell is really good, but I don’t see many players playing either of them. They go really well with the Menagerie package and Moonfang. Sometimes, casting it on moonfang is instant defeat for people because they have no silence or hard removal (like against DH for example). Plaguemaw also summons a new Moonfang when it dies because it has Taunt.

1 little trick though is the 1 cost discover a minion equal to your mana remaining card. That’s a huge piece of the deck. It allows you to discover clowns and Nzoth. I basically took the clown/yshaarj druid deck and made it into a nzoth deck and kept clowns. It actually works fairly well.

Any chance you’d share the deck code? I love playing decks that other people make.

Isnt that a little too similar to Vectus?

Ingame she (kind of) summons (= alerts) raptors who are near to her, or vice versa. If damaged enough (or low on mana?) she will TURN into a big upright snake - as do all those “Druids of the Fang.”

Nitpick: Her name is Lady Anacondra. The other bosses have similar modified names - Lord Phytas, Lord Cobrahn, Lord Serpentis.

Well - prediction/guess was wrong. Lady Anaconda reduces the cost of Nature spells by 2. Big fat meh.

Less flashy than our predictions, yes. Spell cost reduction might get interesting, though.

Sure.

It’s a very rough draft and still in deck doctoring phase but the idea is pretty simple and it’s pretty fun to play. If you find any improvements that work, please let me know!

This might be a nice addition to miracle druid, no?

she looks incredibly strong, yes.

there’s a ton of nature spells in druid that are superb and fit right in the spot of them being reduced to 0-2 cost overall, so, given that’s she’s only a 6 drop (and/or stuff like innervates and etc mana generation) you can get a really solid turn with her and still leave 1, or more, threats that need to be removed asap on board.

rip prediction lemayo.

There really isn’t, that’s the problem. In standard there are hardly any druid spells actually labelled as ‘nature spells’ that would be useful in this situation. At least not yet anyway. Perhaps there might be in later expansions.
