Kripp reveals and reviews cards

I’m sorry but all I see is hypocrisy.
Shaman is now mage in all but name.

Shaman has been better at face damage with spells than mage for a while now. So far nothing has shown me that is changing.

I think it’s kind of disgusting when i think of all the endless threads screaming about how unfun mage was to lose to.

The guy that only plays battlegrounds, reveals constructed cards. Ha!

but kripp is a very good player. I have seen him play at a high level, though it has been a long time.

Very long. Years. Went from only arena to only BG’s.
That’s cool. I just find it odd they chose him. Good on him though.

He has a big audience I believe.

i don´t think Burn/Elemental Shaman per se is any form of hypocrisy - Elemental Shaman is a DPS-Specc in WoW, it´s fine for Shaman to have a Burn/elemental archetype in Hearthstone.

Freeze Shaman is a whole other story as that kinda had been denied from mage because it´s too interactive and rightfully so, it has no place in the game no matter what class.

Rejoice, you now have 2 classes you can play!

If you mean me, that ship has sailed. All i have for Shaman is Core.

You disenchanted the cards? Do you do that for all classes?

not all, at least not for a bit.
I now have the cards to run a fairly decent Hunter and possibly a Priest deck.
I have every mage card and most neutrals.
But yeah; Shaman is out of reach atm.

Definitely is an odd choice, unless he’s planning on venturing out of battlegrounds.

I’m surprised kripp has time to make review videos. I thought all his time was tied up memeing in Battlegrounds until he hits 6500 mmr, then starting a new smurf account xD. And repeat

I mean Mage has crap tons more card draw than Shaman does. That’s a big part of the reason fighting Questline mage sucked. You mostly just sat there and watched the enemy draw cards and then do like 22 damage to you in a single turn.

Even Burn shaman doesn’t do that.

Hopefully they’ll be able to bring back Questline mage in the new year without cards like Cram Session, so that there isn’t so much just “cycle to ignite and blow up the opponent” and you’re actively using that spell damage for other things.

But honestly, I don’t think giving shaman a card that plays off of spell schools is any worse than when they do it for any other class… Warlock is probably getting some new Fel and Shadow spells to go with those synergies.

The spell school card is hardly the most irritating of what they gave Shaman. I think I even said that before above somehwere.
I’m just bitter over the fact that they destroyed tempo/burn in mage by a thousand cuts, and have now handed it to Shaman, with continuing improvements, no less, with hardly a word from anyone.
I doubt this card is unfair at all, but the entire Shaman playstyle of tempo, freeze, and burn offends me, as they refused to allow it to survive in mage.

Tempo Shaman is like… a minion deck, though. It’s totally different from tempo mage and I’m pretty sure they DID nerf it at some point.

I’m still a bit grumpy about the Solarian and Evocation nerfs (which I still think were totally pointless) but those are rotating now anyway. I think the questline mage nerf was super warranted. Same with Incanter’s Flow. Super justified.

And Mage has… lots of freeze, and still has a lot of it’s good tempo cards. It has more burn than literally any other class.

I hated that deck too. I defended Quest when it was the only deck mage had, and that was the only reason I did.

And none of it is currently better than tier 4 according to VS.
So it goes a little hard on me to see shaman running a top tier deck that is a mage deck in spirit if not in actual effects.

ah, yes, and rogue is getting a deathrattle minion

They aren’t and weren’t against freeze though. Mage has gotten freeze cards since ice block HoF (and going immune is obviously not the same as freeze effects).

That a full freeze (frost) mage hasn’t been good is not the same as them being denied it. Freeze shaman the first time around was bad too (I dont’ remember mages crying about their jobs being stolen back then… tells me this isn’t really about class identities having things stolen or denied, it’s really about doing well on the meta)

Hey, I for one actually want freeze mage to return in some way. Just don’t expect anything like ice block in it. That’s the one thing they have indeed denied, but a lot of other things is still fair game.
