I am not sure if this interaction is a bug, but when I took minions in my hand from the effect of Kologarn, I cast a spell called " The Stars Align", which says "Transform minions in your hand into ones that cost (3) more. (They keep their original Cost.). My logic was that the other player should not be able to get back their cards if Kologarn dies because these will no longer be the same cards. However, when Kologarn died, the other player was still able to get back cards. I just wanted to know if this was a bug, or the interaction was intended. Thank you.
This is quite rare but this has been reported several times. It appears that Kologarns effect targets the card itself and not a specific minion which then can “vanish” by being transformed. When Kologarn dies the stolen card is returned to the opponent even if the minion has been transformed.
Not sure if this is a bug. If this is intended then the card text is a bit imprecise.

Glad to know that I am not the only one. I play Rogue and Marin, so it’s more likely to happen for me I guess.

i believe the only way to do this, is to first shuffle them into the deck

I tried doing that with plot twist and saw it get yanked outta my deck like it got stolen by harvester of envy. Though stealing a guy’s titan, rerolling it with Rafaam or something, then handing it back does sound like a viable, albiet unorthodox strat
Though I feel like you could just cut out the middleman and use demonic project before they even play it to begin with
