Do keep in mind that Kalecgos is back, so you can get a beefy dragon on the turn you sunset volley, and discover a new spell.
Or he can get lucky and discover one.
I think the orb is probably way easier to make very strong than people would expect.

You get a 1-3 mana spell that simply reads “copy the highest cost spell in your hand” and it suddenly becomes pretty dang good.

In another thread, arena testing showed it goes in order from lowest to highest, so it will always use sunset volley at the end.
So
Early cost spells draw and discover
Mid-late costs for blizz and flamestrike
Finish with 10 face damage and a random 10 drop.
All for kind of just playing your deck normally.
Mix in the fact that spell discovers from other classes can fill in some of the mana gaps if there’s something juicy?
I like this card way better than Rommath.

I must agree that this is the most competent play.
Drowning your opponent with infinite copies of this.
I doubt I will wait around for it. At best I can see myself playing in casual from now on.

It could also be a minion that says “cast a copy of the highest cost card in your hand” and you play potion of illusion somewhere in the game…but honestly, Time Warp Mage will always be better because it’s faster than a 10 mana spell.
There’s things we can get in the future that will make the spell good, but highly doubtful we get anything that makes it broken.
It basically would need to be turned into another Timewarp Mage. Like you play Timewarp. This spell recasts Timewarp. But some other spell you played needs to copy your highest cost card. So, basically, Timewarp Mage Orb instead of Timewarp Mage Rommath.

Removing it and all the other auto play and casino heavy rng from the game…but that would require a dev team with effort and not heading down the road of cut/paste that this one seems to be.

It’d be better if it worked like Zeph and you could discover what’s cast. Still RNG, but at least worst case would be the LEAST garbo spell in the situation. -shrug-

Anyone else saw that Reddit post about the Wisdomball casting Arcane Intellect with 1 card left in deck.
I am thorough convinced now that it’s completely random.

No but i made sure to see it with my own eyes…
From the things i saw,full board turn 7 on play it cast a fireball on a 2HP minion, also saw on an empty board a mirror image so what gives???
You cant tell me with both those outcomes any work went into the card…
The reveal video with the card casting a Blizzard was very misleading…

See I don’t believe it’s not coded at all and it just casts random but the pool of each choice is too big while it shouldn’t.
For instance if you have a play if enemy big board pool of choices.
It should be just Blizzard including Ice Barrier or Mirror Image in this is stupid.
Or your opponent having a 3 Health minion in board and it not casting Frostbolt but Fireball on it makes for a dumb looking effect because it feels like it does not read anything at all.
It’s very disappointing.

'Cause it seems like an unplayable meme card at best.
I am confident the answer is no.
Too much hassle to code it to actually consider the board state, therefore it’s fair to assume a revision implies a complete rework.
Which is also a hassle, so I don’t see the card getting changed at all.

Has anyone thought of the alternative… 6 straight turns of the perfect answer on a 6 cost card that you would be required to run weapon removal for is too much . Mabye they should have just been honest and had the text say ‘random mage spell’
But then again they gave warrior a few of ultra powerful ‘rest of game’ cards so mabye a 6 turn zephyrs does fit the bill.

That is my problem with the card.
The word useful implies consideration. And what Khadgar did portray is the furthest from that.
It’s almost as if the card wants to troll you, something I am aware is a joke among the community, but the text right now is misleading. It’s not useful, it’s random, and that created false hopes of the coming of the new Zephyrs. So now the disappointment is double.
