Nellie the Pirate Colossal seemingly crashes games without people realizing,
by the time they do, and you close and reopen the client you have missed 1-2 turns due to fast roping for afking
Not sure what the factor is that causes the crash but it just happened to my opponent.
Neither of us roped the entire game then immediately after I played Nell he afk ropes 2 times came back in time to say “wow” as I hit an uncontested lethal.
I tried to add him to ask but he probably doesn’t want to talk to me.
I got the Nellie from Azshara’s treasure
Yesterday same thing happened to me with zero indication that I had d/ced and by the time I closed and reopen my opponent had 2 free turns
Edit : changed to Nellie, been calling her Nessie since the reveal and just kept it that way
A. You see the opponent’s Discover animation, keep going, collect your silence effects, and win the game.
B. You see nothing. Immediately shut down and restart your phone and HS. You should catch the game when your rope starts.
As Marcos suggested, a simple restart should resolve the issue - the trick, of course, seems to be realizing that it has happened. It does seem like it’s a random issue with Nellie (not to be confused with Nessie, of lochness), since it appears you may have been playing a different class - I’m presuming you were based on Nellie having been generated by Queen Azshara, but feel free to correct me if I’m mistaken!
Don’t know if this happened to anyone.
Opponent played that colossal card that eats minions, I had Nessie played on my side the Cosossal minion ate mine+boat but it also spit out Nessie and the boat onto their board. Idk how or why that made sense
froze my game with the rope always burning but I was able to see them clicking and dragging attacks to my face.
the rope started shortly after eating my minions and somehow spitting out Nessie and the boat into their side of the board too (while having mine still eaten). idk made no sense to me
It seems like this may not solely be a pirate warrior thing; might be more specific to Nellie, which might suggest it’s a bit more random, and not linked to anything else.
I have battle.net open when playing in case I need to close and restart to avoid losing my next turn. I advise anyone on PC do this. It’s possible I suppose on mobile, but things are slower so you may lose a turn. I’ve never seen more than one turn skipped. I’ve also seen instances where this doesn’t happen after Nellie is played. So, I’m not 100% on what truly triggers this bug.
Interesting. Sort of an act of civil disobedience. If it’s not fixed in Tuesday’s nerf patch, I’m down for this. Kind of gross that they’ve allowed this to go on for this long. What happened to integrity and fair play? Are those no longer principles that Blizzard holds?
I’m not familiar with that exploit, but to hear that a developer was intentionally exploiting a bug or a competitive advantage is truly disturbing. Shameful!
