Palaidn will break the game again. Just wait and see it will happen. Do not forget these words. Also why tf are librams back?
Librams are fun.
Paladin will be strong, as it always is.
I look forward to playing Paladin again.
They are 4 years overdue. Can’t these new people come up with their own ideas?
So?
Battlecry is 10 years overdue.
All card games reuses existing concepts. Every expansion doesn’t have to 100% be something new every single card.
No.
They have to be a new flavor, artstyle and idea. Throwbacks are suuuuuper lame. Battlecries work because they are an universal effect throughout the whole game, one of the founding mechanics. Thats how Hearthstone has existed for so long by respecting very few essential ideas. Just look at LoR and its tedious nature
Not that the theory crafting stream is the definitive decider on what decks will be playable. You cannot dismiss the decks they are playing entirely. They just need refined. The Paladin deck looks great but it is insanely slow like the DH crew deck. Shaman and Rogue on the other hand are powerhouse decks without even being refined yet. Quasar is probably going to 7 or 8 two weeks after release. It’s a better deck than Garrote Rogue. DK is probably third best as they can actually leverage the starship mechanic. I’m going to give honorable mentions to the Tempo rogue and warrior decks. They are both rough builds ATM but with refinement they are decks i wouldn’t sleep on.
It would appear Reno is not good enough to play against these new decks and the ones that already existed. When Renathal goes i would 100% expect Reno to disappear again.
Your stance here undermines your entire post about Librams.
You’re basically saying it’s ok to rehash old mechanics that are now “base game” mechanics forever, but it’s not ok to introduce ANYTHING other than new mechanics.
So, only reuse base game mechanics and only introduce new mechanics.
There’s zero room for reusing base mechanics, introducing new mechanics, AND doing throwbacks. Throwbacks aren’t allowed whatsoever.
By not allowing Throwbacks, you’re against more diversity in any given meta.
It’s just ABACADAEAFAGAHAIAJAKALAMA for you.
ABACADAEAFABGAHACIAJAKDALAEMAJ is just NOT ok.
See which one is more diverse? Your idea makes the game less fun.
I like the idea of moving on. Even if it is unjust.
Sure, I think it’s the opposite, who knows.
'I think Apple products post Steve jobs are superior. Only because they adere to very few basic principles, yet innovate
And I used to think of hearthstone in the same light, pure creative innovation
There are so many mechanics that are no longer in the game that sprinkled into standard 5+ years later would be very interesting. Making new modes exclusive to doing that we know is not going to happen. Might as well make it more interesting in standard.
That’s what they want you to think so they keep buying their products.
Have you not seen the entire expansion that’s coming out though? There are lots of new ideas in it. Asteroids, Kiljaden, hand adjacency, Starships, Dranei, etc. Like, this isn’t even the expansion to complain about that sort of thing.
You have to rememeber that we are also celabrating 10 years of hearthstone so iconic mechanics like librams are maybe why it has come back.
i can safely say celebrating one of the most beloved paladin styles of play seem fitting for a 10 year celebration.
Many people i am sure are happy they are back i am one of them
They can’t invent new mechanics for every expansion… and no one should expect this… It is much more better to reuse some older mechanics than create another mindless unfair design like Reno, Boomboss, Brann and Titans… I really enjoyed Libram Paladin when I returned and hope it will be fun again but not until OP Removers are in the game I think… They need to plan better new mechanics and not just implement every idiot idea they can just come up with like last year…
I love how people got used to the idea that Paladin is strong and thats the status quo. Meanwhile DH is in the toilet drowning, screaming for attention, yet nobody bats an eye. God forbid this class has something to play, because then everyone will scream at the disruption of status quo.
Balance team begone!
Like I’ve said before, if you look at a lot of the OCs surrounding Paladin, it’s not hard to guess why it’s been absurdly strong for 4 years straight.
Nah. I find those supposedly powerful cards hard to play for most people. They will probably be good at the top of legend but they might be bad for mediocre pilots but never say never on anything since it depends on the TUNING.
I agree that we don’t need any more keywords. This game has plenty already.
If theorcrafting streams are any indication which they usually are (remember concierge druid before last set was released?) Its very possible to play about 30 million stats and about 50 mana before turn 8 so thats gonna be alot of “fun”.
Powercreep? No such thing.
I believe this is kinda important to discuss actually.
While i appreciate the draenei theme exactly for being new. We really need to still talk about the excess of rehash content.
How many times the league of explorers was reprint already ?
Why still talk ? So they continue with New stuff.
As for mechanic.
Temporary is the probably the sucessor of discover. You can do crazier things with it.
Reno and yogg doing awesome stuff at 10
Brann and Shudder lets people do stupid things with battlecries
Druid ramping and mana cheating as always
DKs have permenant effects like plagues and +1 attack to all minions, or they pit boss
Various titans doing titan things
Zilliax still being best boi
Marin being a gigachad of a card even though he’s free (I exhaust an HL priest today with my “complete daily” deck mostly because Marin happens to let me discover… another Marin)
Oh but when paladins can put minions on the board and give them stats (something not exclusive to them, btw). That’s broken.
The game is broken because there are too many cards that do way too much on their own.
You want to fix this game, you will need to buy it out and replace everyone who broke it in the first place.
