Thor, Explosive Payload says: Deal 5 damage. Repeat at a random enemy for each Starship you’ve launched this game. Starships launched by Raynor does not increase that counter. So either this is not inteded or the wording should be corrected if “relaunched” is not the same as “launched”.
From the Wiki:
“Relaunching Starships with Jim Raynor will not upgrade Thor, Explosive Payload. It only upgrades from launches done by the player or by The Exodar.”
how does that wiki change anything I just said?
You tried to use the effect of Jim Raynor to increase the counter of Thor.
As you can see this does not work. Only starships launched directly by you or the Exodar are counted towards the effect of Thor.
Not what i intended with my post. A Wiki is not the game. Nowhere in the game is any distinction made between launch by Raynor and Exodar. So it is either not inteded or not correctly depicted in the cards. Either way a bug!
Not a bug. Spells and other effects cast by a Battlecry are never by the player.
You are just plain wrong. If you read the thread you knew that Exodar does exaclty that.
Not exactly.
This card allows you to launch a starship without paying it’s mana costs. Even though the launch happens once this card enters the field it is still the player who launches the starship. You have to pay the high mana costs of the Exodar but you can choose a protocol to make up for it.
Jim Raynor does not trigger a starship on the field but the battlecry of the hero card launches all starship again. This is not done by the player but the battlecry.
you can explain all the mechanics all you want. it does not change the fact that this is not written on the cards. a bug is still a bug even if it is explained in some wiki.
If a card read: give your hero +1 Attack. And the card gave +2 Attack. It would not matter if the wiki said: This gives +2 to attack contrary to what the card says.
it would still be a bug!
That doesn’t make sense and is not at all what we are talking about. But I’m done here. This is going nowhere.
Yes it is exaclty what we are talking about but: Thank you! Finally! I am so done discussing this with people that understand nothing!
Yes there is. Exodar says “launch”, while Raynor says “relaunch”.
In fact you already said this yourself.
relaunch is still a launch. so please stop with the bullhsit arguments. you did this in another thread allready
Apparently the devs disagree.
“Launch” and “Relaunch” are different words, so it’s not unreasonable to infer that they are different in some way.
The wiki, if not including a source, is most likely simply depicting what has been observed in the game.
Using an observation from the game to say that that same observation from the game is normal is nonsensical.
“-I’m reporting a bug, the program reads that 1+1=3
-Yeah but the unofficial documentation made by a third-party says that the program always read that 1+1=3, so that’s not a bug”
