It's okay to play something other than BSM

I’d say 90 percent in legend is BSM the other 10 are CW. So much fun. So much variety.

As the mage player who plays the class when It isn’t popular i would love they to Go too.

Unfortunately, no, it’s not OK. Unless it’s Pipsi Pally, ofc.

Although normally playing in top 200, I dropped to 10-11k these days by playing bad decks (married to 3 warlock decks for months, and suddenly they’re unplayable)

Picked up XL BSM and suddenly I’m 8-0, already in 8k, and somehow I doubt I’m gonna start losing anytime soon xD

To top all of that, I’m not even good on this deck. I know because I’ve played it with barely positive winrate when I was still top 500 before the patch

It’s a weird deck to try and solely fit into a style of deck at this time. It’s got a little bit of everything in it with how your opening hand goes. You can absolutely explode off the draw. You could do a mid game swing. You can even play it as a pseudo control.

I thought at first dropping Tsunami back to 8 with only 3 elementals would balance it out but i think now after playing against it enough it’s probably a buff especially with Renathal in the Meta.

I’m guessing we have to see if anything changes when the new expansion drops. Right now they aren’t going to nerf anything in it. You basically have to live with it or don’t play. At the highest level of the game there’s so many different Mage decks because they are all trying to out tech each other for that 1-2% advantage they hope to create.

You were extremely familiar with warlock decks that may go well into the mid game or even later and that’s experience you can’t just have the same on other classes; that mage is one of the fastest decks in the game so it might explain why you don’t suck at it; the other decks you were losing probably needed some depth you didn’t have yet especially if they go well into the mid and end game where it starts becoming confusing when the opponent drops on the board a lot of complexity potentially.

I had something similar when I went on a journey into mid-range “combo” decks of shaman because while I UNDERSTOOD the decks to some extend: I had a constant feeling of “I know I’m doing a good move but I don’t know if I’m doing the BEST move” and that’s a terrible attribute if you start facing opponents that play optimally because THEY play the best move often.

Or maybe I’m just too stupid; but I doubt it when it goes to comparisons with most others in the pot; it’s just a big advantage at playing a complex mid range “combo” warlock if you just played a lot of warlock for years or at least months.

Yeah I’m fairly tired of 70% of my games being BSM/Brann Warrior (and the rare Odyn warrior)

Renathal kind of completely destroyed the game balance, and then the balance patch, which was designed to balance a non-renathal meta, managed to make things worse.

We can’t even really evaluate things until this stupid event is over, which will coincide with a new expansion launch, so… It’ll be a while before the meta has a chance at being balanced again.
