It’s the eve of October 2023

It’s the eve of October 2023, and despite one previous nerf, Prince Renethal is STILL, months later, a tumor festering on Hearthstone’s body, making the game un-fun for way too many gamers.

The unique essence of Hearthstone ranked play has always been relatively quick, mostly-uncomplicated non-tedious card battles. The style of decks that Prince Renethal enables work counter-intuitively to that basic principle of Hearthstone ranked play.

To whichever developer that created Prince Renethal: are you not happy, yet? You single-handedly corrupted the game experience, and simultaneously managed to defecate in the collective cereal bowl of thousands of veteran Hearthstone players.
Blizzard — please “Hall of Fame” the Prince Renethal card. It’s time.

Aggro main, huh?

If you cannot beat Renathal(A card that should be made Core) you aren’t playing aggro correctly. Aggro decks have MORE than enough damage to overcome Renathal by a Wide margin.

When players say that

they are wrong.

And when players say that the unique essence of Hearthstone has always been relatively long, drawn-put games that go to fatigue, they’re also wrong.

The essence has always been different players having different tastes and expressing those tastes through their deck choices. Long game, short game, could be either, and your deck is like having a vote in that decision.

Sometimes that vote isn’t unanimous. Sometimes the game drifts a bit from what you’d like, but in those games it’s probably also drifting from what your opponent would like. The word for this type of situation is a compromise. Learn how to deal with compromise gracefully like an adult. Accept that not everyone has the same preferences that you do, and that’s okay.

Buddy just slip in Elite Tauren champion {from FOL} along with plenty of healing/removal/stall.
finale ETC forge priest is my favorite anti aggro deck. But that might be to difficult for an aggro player to handle.

If you can’t kill Renathal players. Then your not playing the game right.

Wait, you can’t beat a deck which uses a plain 3 mana 3/4 card?

Not aggro main. Still hate the card.

wow, imagine that. Its not about the card, you halfwit. Its about the 9 card bonus it give some decks.

Aww, I’m sorry you felt the need to resort to a childish insult. Of course I’m aware of the bonus it provides. In general, making your deck have more cards is not desirable. But I guess I’ll give you that it does provide 5 extra life to the hero for putting your deck at such a disadvantage, and to make up for it being, when it drops, a plain 3 mana 3/4, as I already wrote. I will still pray for you, okay? I haven’t forgotten

Renathal at 35 is really not a big deal…

It’s annoying that it’s so necessary for some control vs. control match ups and basically decides the game. But that’s unavoidable.

Haven’t you ever lost a game with the opponent at 1 health? Well imagine your opponent survives with between 1-5 health remaining with a renethal deck.

It’s a big deal then.

I mean… not really? That’s like one game from one match up where that’s relevant.

The 10 extra cards as a tradeoff for 5 extra health is pretty fair.

How is that a trade off? Being more resistant to mill and fatigueing 10 cards later than your opponent sounds like a benefit to me.

Oh you mean diluting your card pool with more cards. Only a downside to 1 card wincons like armor warrior. The power level of modern cards is so high that you aren’t diluting anything, the 9 other cards going in are just as powerful as the other 30.

As long as warlocks destroy your cards, its needed. When blizzard stops making crap like that we can go back to 30 card games…

That’s a molten take lol.

Haven’t you ever lost a game because you could not draw your board clear card. Well imagine you had 10 cards less in your deck.

This has something to do with the 5 hp?
