I have lost so many games and first turns because Battlegrounds keeps bugging for me when I load a game.
And it’s different things that happen.
-Sometimes I am just stuck in the queue
-Sometimes The hero portrait gets really small and is out of places and no minions comes up in the tavern.
- Sometimes I just get a black screen.
- Sometimes the game just crashes.
I have tried uninstalling and installing again but that didn’t change anything.
And this is really bugging me because I am trying to get a competitive rank. I am currently at 7600. But it’s impossible when I keep losing games because of the client.

similar problem here.
getting connected to a battlegrounds lobby.
either prior to hero choice or shortly thereafter the screen just stops animating and nothing happens anymore… as if connection times out but with no real disconnect communicated by the client (ie. no error message or booting out of game) …
have to close the game, and restart it to continue… often losing one turn & recruit phase…
annoying. because it’s not a straight up error that happens before finding a game but instead it seemingly connects and gives the impression as if i am chosing my hero and just waiting for others, to then find out that client is stuck somehow…
Same problem, consistently happened after playing 2-4 games in a row, never in the first. Makes BGs unplayable for me… I hope this gets fixed soon.
Here to report the same issue. If the bug where minions and opposing heroes don’t show up, I basically always miss turn 1.
At times the first hero selection doesn’t even load, but that at least leaves enough time to select one at the last second. Even then, rarely the aforementioned bug still occurs. It’s getting disheartening playing games on really bad handicaps like this.
Bump because this is still a problem and devs didn’t say anything

Same problem here. Impossible to play competitive when the player’s rating is affected by these kinds of bugs.
BUMP, same problem here and really disappointed that these bugs exist years after
