Is this the hardest to climb bg's season or is it just me?

Like with all the changes they made to the minion types they effectively killed the ones I liked to play. It’s harder to gain big stats on elemental and pirates are garbage now.

And the ones I don’t really like, mechs and beasts, pretty much require you get to tier 5 or 6, which always seems impossible to do without getting your handed to you.

Bought the only tribe I like the change for was murlocs. Undead, naga, and quillboar didn’t really seem to get changed much.

There are a lot of factors. The anomaly mode is making things more difficult in my opinion. Too much ability to swing the games based on bad luck and nothing else.
I think things will settle down after they are gone.
You’ve also got a lot of losers that use Smurf accounts that would normally play at 8 or 9 k, but they will fart around in like the 4-5 k area looking for anomalies that they can really abuse, ruining the game for the other players that are playing at the appropriate skill level.
Smurfs are amongst the biggest losers in the world, spreading their ignorance unchecked like a foul plague.

Yeah anomalies are worse than quests which were worse than buddies. Not only can you get screwed by the tavern, now you can get screwed by that game’s anomaly.

Undead(nerfs reverted) and Quillboar are significantly better now. They also have some monster scaling minions. The only “weak” tribe ATM is dragons because they lost Tarecgosa.

I hate to break it to you but Elementals and Pirates are the top two Tribes right now. Elemental being significantly better than the rest because they scale so well and very fast.

You can literally sit on 4 for most of the game and win with beasts in many lobbies with Slamma. Quilboars work the same way. Mechs yes you need the 5 and 6 tiers.

You’re absolutely right. I think with the introduction of t7 minions, it’s created this sense of rushing to tier up very quickly. A lot of lobbies I see people on 4 , 7 or 8 gold and I’m like…,Eff you guys I’m gonna yolo it too… lol…Which is great if you can afford it but not great if you don’t find that powerful minion on said tiers.
Staying on 4 is advisable with the beasts and boars, you can triple into your brann or Titus. That’s all you need .

The key is using all the economy exploits they stuck in the game to tier faster. If you aren’t scamming gold you’re not winning better lobbies.

I have seen some really, really broken murlocs, though. I would really like to see them nerf bream counter and move away from bassgill being essential to their builds. They really don’t work at all without that bream/bass engine going.

I think this is a you issue more than a BG issue, and I’m not trying to be mean at all.

It’s never been easier to scale minions and you can literally force copies of minions into your hand with upbeats.

I think this is one of the easiest metas I’ve ever played to get top four, but winning first is 100% RNG right now. All the fundamentals in the world don’t compete with the broken high roll games we are seeing now.

Top four is basically what order did you face the person(s) with broken boards after the damage cap is gone?

Absolutely. If you can make it to 6 with a solid Murloc build and have a turn or two with the One Eye/double Murky combo it’s scaling is infinite. The problem is that it’s all on 6 so the probability of hitting all those 6’s is highly unlikely.

The Bream combo is the safer bet for sure. Again though it’s reliant on continually hitting certain minions like Brann, Tad and lookouts.

Brann isn’t even that important in murlocs anymore. It’s a win more card at this point. You can do more with titus and hand buffs making your hand cards huge.

I hate season 5. All the flavor of the mode is gone.

I guess you could but that seems super risky when i can just get a +6/+6 onto a golden Bream each time i play a murloc. A Scourfin into the late game seems like a bad choose IMO. If there are Beasts in the pool Brann is absolutely automatic because of the lookout synergy with metalhead.

… you’re going to continue to play murlocs as you find them, so the two things aren’t mutually exclusive.

That’s assuming you have time to find all that and typically cycling what you have and getting to six is your best play.

Completely agree. In previous seasons towards combat turn 10, you’d be lucky to have 4 or 5 people still alive. I just finished up a game where turn 12 everyone was still alive and I ended up losing to utter nonsense of someone having a full board of golden T6/7 minions with 300+ attack and health.

Maybe its Tier 7 itself that needs to be adjusted. Costing something like 15 gold when you hit Tier 6, rather than the traditional 10. Or making it so you can’t grab minions out of that tier from Galakronds Hero Power, or Patient Scout. Just thinking out loud though.

Don’t know how to address the mass damage issue though, or why people are getting full boards of golden minions at turn 10 of tier 6/7 minions. I get luck, but something seems off about that.

I’m gonna call BS on this. If one dude had all that how was anyone else alive?

Anyway, this season has something wrong with it. I’ve been struggling to get off 5000 and seems like lately I’ve been placing 6th. This from a guy who got 7138 last season. What am I not seeing this season or is this season just broken?

I might be able to screenshot a game in the future if you’d like me to confirm lol. I’m sitting at around 6k ranking.

The reason other people were alive were because of the 15 max health rule not being applied properly and people tying a lot. Honestly, I have no idea. I just know that people are staying alive way too long right now.

The 15 damage cap until to 4 helps.

All I know is ever since this anomoly stuff started, and I hit 4000 BG ranking, I’ve had the absolute worst luck building factions. I used to destroy with Naga and Quillboar on a regular basis. Now I get my butt handed to me on a platter. Not even silver. It’s crappy stainless steel.

This right here has encouraged Tier rushing more than any other recent change in memory. I disagree with it being added personally. All it does is reward greedy builds and basically nullify good early play.

I 100% agree that it was a bad change. It is not needed and actually makes the problems worse by not absolutely punishing people for doing stupid things.
