I swear I’m not after free views I promise and you don’t have to watch the entire thing but I’m genuinely interested why the Paladin’s Silver Hands were 3/3 and my copied ones were 1/1’s.

Because the +2/+2 from Paladin Quest is from a persistent aura the Paladin owns. It’s similar to Stormwind Champion.

I think it does the same thing with goru the mightree buffed treants so is probably intended.

So it’s not a straight copy? That’s so weird because if it had deathrattle, buffs etc it would’ve copied no worries but because the buff is from outside the card, it doesn’t?

So assumedly if Stormwind Champion is on the right and I played Soul Mirror, I’d get the base minion and my opponent would have ones that have 1+1 and survive? (If Stormwind Champion is attacked last).

Man I need to try a friendly match and set that up.

It’s rotating soon anyway but never encountered that scenario.

It is a straight copy, it just doesn’t benefit from aura effects.

I thought it ‘snapshotted’ the board so to speak. Whatever was on there, the player got. Oh well, the more you know.

The key thing here, is that the silver hand recruits are “buffed” by a persistent, invisible effect. They’re not applied directly to the minion.

So the silver hand recruits are still 1/1s with a +2/+2 buff that the player has.

If they update the UI this year, one thing they really need is a window that tells you what buffs a player has applied to themselves. (And a graveyard, but that’s obvious)

Good idea for a new series of the same idea! Would love to fit that in somewhere while covering new card reveals and then playing with new cards haha!
