Is thief rogue an aggro deck or tempo

just curios this sure feels close to aggro o…o.
Slight misplay could let the minion be frozn then step it lol.

Tempo is basically just Aggro that also cares a bit about the board early on. What’s more important is that Burgle Rogue is more effective as an aggressive, initiative-focused archetype in general than a resource-focused one.

Obviously folks should play whatever variant they enjoy the most, but if results are your goal then aggression is the way to go.

I dont win late so i had to win early here lol thats why i kept my spell to tempo out big stats what are you playing these days

Naga Mage, Big Beast Hunter, Dragon Paladin, might give Bless Priest or Charge Warrior a shot.

Once I hit Legend, I started toying with a Burgle variant that works for me (to have fun). I’m playing a more resource generating version with some success at VERY low Legend. Took me a while to “learn” the best way to play it, but I’ve beaten a fair share of Pallys and absolutely destroyed a ramp Druid last night. The key is understanding your opponent’s deck/what they will most likely play next and making discovery choices based on that.

I know this doesn’t really answer your question, but just wanted to come in.

Not a problm i agree thining about power turns of enemy is important

Lastly Wardrum and tmbgiants since wardrum was talking about warrior.
do you think some sort of rush warrior is possible because i aggree with whoever said control warrior is going to fade this meta or some sort of more board centric build with removal but not as much ?

It’s more aggro than tempo.

To better visualise what “tempo deck” actually is, you can refer to its second name “aggro-control”.

The basis of the aggro-control deck is to play an early aggressive board and then use control tools/playstyle to protect said board.

You can think old tempo mage that used mana wyrm and then used freezes, removal, and secrets to allow them to keep hitting face.

As far as rogue goes, his usual tempo tools are the cheap removals, the rushers (control the board and keep developing threats) and the weapon swings. But thief/pirate doesn’t actually have a lot of those.

Thanks guys so its official i am playing aggro, :upside_down_face:

The official name isn’t quite as important so long as you understand your role in each individual matchup. Usually, you’re the beatdown but Rogue does pack some tools to protect its stuff here and there.

If it’s a board-centric meta, Control Warrior will still be viable.

I don’t see any kind of Rush/Midrange Warrior making ground, so if you want to go on the offense your best bet is Charge Warrior with Galvangar, which is basically Control with an OTK finisher.

I agree with Drum. I think Rush Warrior lost a bunch of tools at the cross over…though I could be mistaken

They got new rush tools some r abit expensive.

I watched the game. Ggs.
At least in that round, it appears to be an aggro deck, right? And you got the Mida! A crucial discover imo if you’re playing thief rogue, as it really allows you to turn that aggro deck, into a control deck and go well past round 10. Since you didn’t need any of your stash cards, or Tess, and it was Ggs on turn 6, that’s pretty aggro and pretty much what PW was doing in the last meta.

They’re new, but not very good at all.

Yeh i do like the tradable one but the 7 drop feels slow i agrree

I dont think our discover card gets weaker as more deathrattls come - who knows - it only discovers class deathrattles and not neutrals right this card is the best card for rogue this year - reconnosance.
