Is solo advebture worth it?

I’m think pay for it but wondering if it is the reward wise.

Reward wise: no. You pay 7 packs (7x100 gold) to get 3 packs, and this 3x (that’s assuming the final battle is free: from what I know, the final battle is just 1 fight. If that also costs 700, it’s even worse). AKA you lose out on 12 packs (and that’s assuming you want 9 Saviors of Uldum packs, otherwise the value is even less). You do get a Golden Pack for that, but that’s not worth 12 packs. Maybe the 2 cardbacks make the difference for you (only 1 cardback if you can’t finish Heroic though).

Thank you and glade I did not buy it without asking first.

Were you planning on buying it with gold?

And are you only buying it for the rewards?

Do you dust all of your common/rare golden cards?

With money not gold and was doing it for card packs.

The cost of the solo adv. is $15. The rewards are 15 SoU packs + 1 Golden Classic pack. You’re given the first chapter free, so you are paying for 12 SoU + 1 Golden Classic. (I edited this for a correction that VictoriousDN pointed out)

The 15 pack bundle in the Blizzard store is $20 ($1.33 per pack). So compared to buying the bundle, it is worth it.

Generally, $1 per pack is considered a good deal at the start of the expansion, so if you are still looking to open packs and you value the golden classic as equivalent to at least 3 SoU, still worth it. (edited)

Whether getting an additional 12 SoU packs and 1 Golden Classic packs to add to your collection is worth it at this point is up to you.

You get the 3 packs for the first wing for free, so it’s effectively 12 packs for buying all wings of the adventure.

Forgot about that – you’re right – 12 SoU packs + 1 Golden Classic for $15.
$15/12 = $1.25 per pack, however you also get the golden classic which is worth a minimum of 300 dust.

no, just replay some older one.

Don’t buy adventure if you care about rewards. 12-ish packs won’t allow you to open anything amazing unless you are really close to your pity clock.

The experience, however, is amazing. I have been playing non-stop since it was release with the purpose of 100% heroic mode (wins with every heroes, every sig treasure and every hero power). It will take me a lot of time to complete that goal.

Not worth it. If it cost $5 I would think about it…maybe.

If you want to try it just play any dungeon run since kobolds and catacombs and its nearly identical if not the same.

The Dungeon Run-style solo adventures are worth it if you’re looking for a story and/or more background for the cards in the expansion they’re each tied to.

They’re not a good “investment” if you’re looking for packs to build your collection.

Content is fun though if you like that type of thing.

The free first wing was fun and I think the adventure is designed very well in general.
You have these intros with a voice over, remind me of starcraft single player missions,it all looks very slick and streamlined.

I do like the picking of the rewards and all the other interactions during the run, My only issue was that I found the wing to be very very easy… maybe a bit to easy. I did complete it on my first try and never got even close to being in trouble.

Would I pay for it:no but I would play it for free like the first wing which is something since I barely play hearthstone anymore. It at least makes me want to play it because its fun.

If you still need some packs the adventure is a good deal with the free legendary,i would have bought it if it was released at start new expansion most likely, because then the adventure is basicly free.

I personally do not think the Solo Adventures are really ‘worth it’ as a stand-alone product (i.e. no new cards, etc.) just isn’t my “cup of tea” as they say.

This is one of the better solo adventures from what I’ve seen so far so the quality is actually at a pretty decent level it appears but… I still don’t think it is worth the price of admission. Maybe at a lower price point, as Chatto mentions, I could be tempted to toss $s at it but then again, on the flip side, the packs would be less then and it’d probably still get a hard pass from me.

If the SPA was in some way different from the 6 or 7 other Dungeon Runs we’ve had already then I MIGHT have considered it. But in practical terms, Tombs of Terror is just a lather-rinse-repeat of all the Dungeon Runs we’ve been getting for a couple years now and there’s really nothing new or interesting about it.

When you consider the fact that the investment (in cash or gold) is only barely commensurate with rewards (12 packs + 1 gold Classic) then I just don’t see any reason to distract my gold-savings plan with this SPA. I’d rather save that 2,800 gold for the next expansion, thanks.

The price just doesn’t make sense.

The adventure is just the same thing as the previous ones.

-Extremely light on story or immersion, basically non-existent.

-Same stuff where you pick cards and an ability, and more on to the next fight, repeat ad-nauseam.

-The monetary cost is not worth the money or effort.

For me it’s not.
Hearthstone PVE content never interested me. Just not my thing. I don’t even have 1 Dungeon Run clear yet lol.
Card wise - I’m just missing some random epics and legendaries… so a few packs really isn’t going to do anything for me.

to each their own.

If you want me to buy PVE content though - just add some NEW CARDS as rewards. That’ll do it.

They should do that. This is the perfect time in the cycle to add a few new cards.

That runs the risk of making the PvE content required for PvP play. Something that isn’t a good thing for those who just want to play Ranked. It would also mean that the content has to be so easy that anyone could beat it without trying, otherwise you risk a situation where people paid for the cards but can’t access them because they can’t beat the content.

who says you have to play it? Just unlock the cards upon purchase. then players who don’t care about PVE still get something out of it. and players who like PVE get the PVE. bottom line is blizzard makes more money.

I’m not saying they should do it. I’m just saying for me personally. if you want me to spend the cash on PVE - add some new cards. I’ll happily pony up some cash for that.
