Is Siamat any good in Wild?

I am tempted to craft it as a strong addition to my Highlander Warlock in Standard (and also seems to be an overall good card), but does it actually have any use in Wild besides those wacky Elemental decks?

Siamat is still ok in Wild.

There may be other minions that are better for specific decks, but he is solid as an all-rounder that can fit into many different decks for any class. He’s generally going to be a slightly below Zilliax in usefulness.

In Wild you also have to also look at Sylvanas, Ragnaros and The Lich King as general purpose Neutral Legendaries. And if you lack one of them (including Zilliax), they definitely should have a higher priority than Siamat.

He is good, but don’t have a place in any competitive deck currently

Thanks for the answers. I had similar thoughts, but ended up crafting it anyway. If anything, it’ll surely remain competitive in Standard for more than a year at least, and until its rotation, anything can happen.

Yeah sure. Every deck that isn’t Aggro can actually include him since his battlecry is almost universally good in any given match.

I don’t have him, but I could see people using this card in Wild Highlander decks. Mage especially since it heals with Frost Lich Jaina. Renolock could fit him in, but my deck has plenty of staples where he’s not necessary. Priest could probably use him better than the other two classes due to so much situational removal.

Shudderwock Shaman could probably use him cause if Siamet’s battlecry triggers first, whatever two properties such as divine shield or taunt will be attached when duplicated by Doppelganster.

I used siamat in some janky otk highlander shudderwock, but it serves no real purposes in there other than being solid on its own, and being able to have an immediate effect on board.
