Just got into battlegrounds and would like to buy a battle pass but I’m not sure if season 7 is about to come out.
BG seasons usually drop about the halfway point between the standard sets. So you probably have a couple weeks yet unless they go off script.

The new season pass will be released around the 15. of April.
If you just started, I’d just continue on with the free pass and see how far you get so you don’t pressure yourself into finishing something. Now’s a perfect time as the only benefit to a premium pass gameplay-wise is the +2 Hero choice and that choice is nearly null compared to Quests atm.
