I’m bored with HS. It used to be fun but now it’s more of a grind. I’m tired of the same 3 decks. Wild is only slightly better (maybe 5-6 decks). Each release, the meta is usually set before the first card pack is even opened. I used to play to create interesting or themed decks but now I realize I play more out of habit. I enjoy the idea of the game, but I just don’t enjoy the game itself anymore.
I understand that creating new content while having it interact with everything released is challenging. So maybe it’s time for Hearthstone 2.0. Take everything we have so far, dump it into Wild and call it HS 1.0. Get rid of Twist (or Mercenaries… no loss there) to make room for it if you need to. Then start fresh with Standard. Start with a brand new and build from there. Use what’s been learned over these years to make new cards and remake old ones.

yeah starting fresh seems the best option.
I totally agree, I’m at a point it like don’t even want play anymore. I think other games looking better right now than this because it is just too much right now to even enjoy with all the power-creep and that it.
Maybe play against friends, make silly rules
Like all neutral decks only
Or ban all 3 cost cards

I doubt the corporation will do anything but beat the horse until it drops.

Yeah, you know everything about that, don’t you?

Tbh I’ve just been filling my time with the Dark Souls games, thank god we still have some great video game developers who consistently knock it out of the park. So endlessly replayable, great pve, co op and pvp too, all for one low price, it’s crazy the amount of value those games provide
Want to lose your entire player base? Dump the game and make everyones collections useless. That will pretty much end 1.0 and your new 2.0 Hearthstone.
i am stopping the game at the end of the month my decision is made , if nothing change i have enough of this non real good game .
i gonna go to parallel where this is slow paced and fun .
I’m not saying dump the game. I’m saying move everything released to this point into Wild (or some other designation) and start brand new in Standard. Nobody would lose anything and nobody’s collection would be “useless”.
The suggestion makes no sense, because that’s EXACTLY what happens every 2 rotations.
If you went through 2 rotations and you still hate it: you have another issue with HS.
With every release, there is a block of existing cards that are available for standard. And those cards have been built on top of the cards that came before it. There’s never truly a “2 rotation” clean up because everything now reflects everything that came before and much is still available as the oldest set rotates out.
Thats the problem right thete HS is advertised as a fast paced action ccg and everyone gripes when its being exactly as advertised.
Yeah thats prob a good idea for you… going ti play that game. Wish you luck.
It’s not a big difference because instead of having it suddenly it happens gradually. Also players would hate the imbalance of it because for a few days (if not weeks) a small minority of players would play the best netdecks and the rest would have 30% win rate.
If you hate constructed - because that’s what’s the deeper reason here - play Battlegrounds or call for another “automatic construction” format (also even if you only play Arena you’ll find something more “free” than Constructed too).
A better and easier fresh start would be a new team 5.
yep and thats good
no idea why you would like for people to farm and spend resources on cards to get them rotated after 4 months to start over
thats a bad idea
Guys, there are other games out there. Really.
If you’re not having fun, do something else.
It was 2018 when the future of Hearthstone was etched in stone. Year of the Raven, when they deliberately tried to power-down Standard through a year of intentionally weak sets. The players, you all, revolted. Crying and gnashing of teeth at how “boring” and “useless” and “didn’t change the meta” the sets were. And sales followed, with Boomsday and Rastakhan being the worst selling Hearthstone sets of all time.
So they decided that players want unchecked power creep, and starting in 2019 with Year of the Dragon we’ve had it ever since. Sure enough, sales rebounded! They were right in their assessment!
They tried to keep things the way you all in this thread want it to be. They got told no. They won’t try again.
If you don’t like it, rest assured that it won’t change. Do something else.
I was here for this. They bungled this too, because they failed to nerf existing cards simultaneously. Their mistake is what caused the failure. The idea was fine, and should be tried again, without the incompetence.
Sure, but there’s no way the suits would sign off on it this time.
So we’re still stuck with things as they are. Forever.
